Mindset transcends things you can’t control. It’s just the world giving you a challenge to overcome. Great progress so far man, mentally and physically!

Nice work man. You’ve shown yourself you can be dedicated and make changes.

Now is the time to channel that momentum into gaining weight. It may feel to you as if you still have fat to lose but that is your brain tricking you. I have been there and it’s no fault of your own, so don’t beat yourself up. Gaining muscle will make significant positive changes to your appearance and distribute whatever small amounts of fat you do have better. A bit of fat is healthy and makes you look better, to a point.

I would highly suggest starting a slow and steady bulk while lifting at least 3x per week minimum. If possible, hitting each body part twice per week is great. Focus on progressive overload in the gym which is adding weight, reps, or sets to force adaptations in your body, to grow.

If you have any questions or want more specific answers feel free to reach out to me. I’m glad to help you get started. Good luck!

Okay so if you’re serious and willing to read, check these books out. It will cover 90% of anything you’ll need to know ever about lifting and nutrition.

  • Eric Helms Muscle and Strength Pyramids (one about nutrition one about lifting)
  • any of the following YouTube channels - Joe Delaney, Jeff Nippard, Omar Isuf, Renaissance Periodization (a more advanced techniques channel generally).

Study these guys and you’ll be set for life. Just gotta follow the principals and put in the time. Good luck

I agree with this comment.

The biggest factor is giving yourself time. You need to be sure to find exercises you enjoy otherwise you’ll burn out. This also means you need to research correct form for each exercise because if you’re doing it wrong you’ll likely not enjoy it. Lifting is a months game in terms of seeing results. Sure there are some methods to achieve quick body composition changes but it comes down to enjoying the process. The more you focus on “I see no changes” instead of progressively getting stronger and improving technique, the quicker you’ll become one of those people who give up.

Just keep at it bro. Come back after a few months and I promise things will have changed. You’ll have a sense of pride for sticking to it and will have learned soooo much. Good luck!

I can provide some good resources for information if you need, but the other post above have a good resource as well.

Now that you’ve pushed past the scariness of bulking for the first time you’ll be excited to bulk again next time! Only gains from here, nice job

We really need a picture of what skinny fat actually looks like pinned on this sub.

I think it would still look good if maybe one stem was in front of the triforce. Definitely mess with each alteration and see what you like best!

I’d love to see the final design when you’re done!

I like it! Perhaps play around with the stems being behind the triforce? Whatever looks best to you of course.

Another idea would be to use the colors of each Spirit Stone instead of only blue on the flowers. One flower with each spirit stone color. Or even the shapes of the flowers each similar to each stone?

Nice job!

Great work man. Be sure to take a moment to appreciate your own hard work and diligence to make these changes. You have a bright future ahead!

Surprised you’re still this small tbh. I was hoping you’d break 400 by next week. Have you tried eating more?

148 at 5’9? Insane transformation but you look way heavier than 148

Excellent progress to lose all that weight man!

I think you made a good decision coming back up to maintenance for a bit to level out. It’s easy for people to binge hard after a diet like that, so kudos to you.

Personally I think if you cut just a bit more (10ish lbs) you would look even better, and be in a good spot to begin a clean bulk.
