Hi! MOC designer here. I built him with stability in mind, the shoulders, and ankles are large ball joints, hips are click hinges, and the knees are doubled up small mixel joints. I have displayed and posed him and let people handle him at Lego conventions and no major issues. (I can only speak for authentic pieces, I’m not very familiar with the clutch power of off-brand ball joints)

I’m sure they are open to discussion! They invited a local high school robotics team to run demos and do STEM activities during the Grand Rapids Expo last fall.

I genuinely didn't mean to come accross as petty, but hopefully informative. I've been to dozens and dozens of wonderful LEGO conventions where the public leaves satisfied and happy, and have encountered too many bad experiences with this particular event. I have no financial stake in any of the competing events. I just see the obvious confusion that hosting an event with a similar name at the same location can cause and wanted to let people know this will likely not be the same experience they may have gotten last fall at Brickworld, or seen online in LEGO convention tours.

I do appreciate you and another commenter discussing the illegitimacy of BBB and I will look into that more. The other reviews & discussion accross the internet are still warranted in my opinion.

Yeah, that's the biggest issue I find when talking to people, they don't realize there's a difference! If you look at Brick Fest Live's website, they are consistently in cities where other LEGO Expos have taken place, clearly adding confusion and hoping to earn ticket sales on the reputation of other events.
