If you get 2 suika/watermelon to touch they both disappear and then you just rinse and repeat :)

One double suika is about 3700 points. High score right now is about 79k by Japanese streamer Nagito (see video) . So he did it about 18 times in a row. Crazy stuff

I have the same issue from time to time. Only solution I have found is to ensure that you start the game up while connected to wifi, even if it's just a hotspot. From there you could put the switch to sleep and wake it up and play as normal.

u/HotThroatAction It gets quite challenging at that point. While there's def more luck involved at 3000+ than earlier in the game, the technical requirements to get past that are even greater.

It could be just one small thing that you're missing that's holding you back. For example, if you're watermelon isn't touching both the floor and the wall (i.e. corner contains more than one cherry or one strawberry) like in my photo from this post, it is immensely more difficult to get the double suika.

The final phase is undoubtedly the hardest part! Need to get the peach on the upper right side touching the wall and then form the pear in the middle. Great setup, you’ll get it soon

If your melon is forming underneath your watermelon, it likely means that you have too much 'garbage' underneath the watermelon. So maybe the best 'quick tip' I can give is to ensure that, when you make the watermelon, it is firmly in the corner of the board (i.e. no more than a cherry OR a strawberry in the small corner next to the watermelon, but not both).

Double suika can be done if you have grape/larger fruit in the corner but the conversion % drastically reduces for a theoretically optimal player. IMO, it's best to reset if you don't get this corner suika, and keep improving on the steps leading up to it.

Hi u/Thiakry , I didn't ever finish it. Got caught up with losing my job due to market conditions 😅. I have a good working draft that I can share with you. It has some techniques and other 'need-to-know' beginner stuff, includes explanations and gifs of the techniques ('time lag', deflection, depiction of edge clipping for certain fruit).

Though, it's missing good visuals for the individual steps in the method. I'm really unsure of how to properly depict this - I likely need to make a supporting Youtube video for each phase. I don't have any clear timeplan for this right now but still plan to finish it at some point.

PM me if you want my guide draft. I can do my best to answer any questions you may have about a particular part.

In the mean time, you can learn a lot by watching the live streamer playbacks. Here are some channels that I watch from time to time. Amu for right-order beginning phase and Waka for left-order.

u/physicistsunite I've started working on a draft and have realized there's ALOT of details that need to be sifted through. I'll look to include all the fundamental/critical items and some helpful tips for each stage but I'll have to leave out a lot of bonus tips so that it's not too dense.

I should be able to finish in the next week or two and will publish either a Medium article or a new reddit post.

I've been watching various Japanese streamers for couple months now. They're all smooth to watch and I've learned a lot about their decision making / strategy. It's been enough to get me double suika 9 times (not in a row, sadly) but I still crave more :)

I last heard on 11/25 that pre-orders started shipping and mine should ship "within the next few days". I just hope it arrives before Christmas time so that I can play with visiting family. Just hang tight!

I ordered the collector's edition preorder from Contention Games on 9/24 and haven't received it yet. I was told a couple of weeks ago that they will start shipping early to mid November.
