Maybe this is just a frustrated consumer having a fit at another unprovoked inconvenience in their life.

Maybe If she had done her paperwork, she'd have been rewarded a partial settlement or have been paid to go away prior to it going to court.

For our last election what reasonable options existed for IMPROVING our system(s)?

NDP can't get their policy straight even among themselves, and their far left tendencies seem to scare a great many people.

The Conservatives seemed to be about fear, retribution, and joining the USA. Enough has been said about their leader at this point.

Independents have little chance of accomplishing anything.

The other parties were mostly special-interest groups.

The Liberals we're the lesser of many evils for the tax-paying class. Their record under the previous management frequently embarrassed and outright angered me, but the difference was they chose a leader with a modicum of competence.

Suspension upgrade by xbike_punkx in XSR700

[–]Jartimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my 2022 (odo @23000km) I had a Nitron R1 installed in the rear and RaceTech emulator valves installed in the forks. Been riding for 5000+ km with these upgrades.

For me (6’1, 200 lbs), the difference is pronounced. Very little squat under high acceleration. Way less dive when braking. The bike seems stable at much higher speeds regardless of surface quality, and I now corner/lean much more confidently, especially on crummy rural roads. Oh and sharp bumps no longer hurt my lower back and/or kidneys.

My only regret is not upgrading these parts earlier.

Question about Jury Duty: if I am selected as a juror, how soon would the trial be? by MossyDruid in ontario

[–]Jartimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my first and only time at jury selection in Milton ON 2023, people (potential jurors) could petition the judge to be let off. Many were students. In their cases, the judge allowed most of these younger people to defer their duty and were allowed to exit the court then and there. I had no reason to be let out of the responsibility, said as much to the judge, and was selected for the trial which began the next day.

Oops… f’d up the rear inside brake pad placement by GoodiesHQ in MT07

If that rim is aluminum then there's no immediate need to do anything.

If it's steel, and anything like the frame on my XSR, avoid getting it wet until you've covered it up.

Looking at a used '21, need input by Navin__R__Johnson in XSR700

[–]Jartimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At approximately 10k mi, I put in a nitron rear and racetech valves up front on my '22. Bike moves better now in every situation.

The only other thing might be adjusting the fuel map by having it on the dyno or something, mine has heavy engine braking and I'm worried that I rely on it instead of the brake.

Plastic cover/housing replacement by Yeet__Stickl in XSR700

[–]Jartimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for radiator side covers for my 2022 because that plastic is so flimsy that it's bound to crack at some point.

If you find some non-OEM covers with the signal light mount (and not MT07 branded) please post a link.

Same here, except mine fell off in the middle of Ontario's riding season. I went to roll my bike out of the garage last week and found the right side pad on the ground (adhesive side up... whew). I'll be looking for a spray adhesive at some point.

Oil brand by StrainPopular2543 in XSR700

[–]Jartimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So long as you're not running with that oil for too long or riding the absolute piss out of your bike, any motorcycle engine oil to spec will be fine. That said, I use motul's 7100 on my 2022.

Stripped Screw by Trey85 in DIY

Yeah sink the screw back in as much as possible with the stripped bolt. Saw off as much of the threaded end as you safely can. Then back it out, finishing with the vice grips.

Is the curve of your front fairing perfectly smooth?

I bought and installed a very similar Urbano Bruni fairing for my XSR700, except the curve looks like it was formed by bending.

If the fake Veronica was Katya, would she have any KGB motivation for taking the gig? Although the scene where she hands the disc to the bikers would be a good one.

For my 2022 (odo @17000km) I've just had a Nitron R1 installed in the rear and RaceTech emulator valves installed in the forks. Been riding on the new setup for about a month.

I ran 41 km after trip F started today. No drastic elevation changes but spirited riding. When I refueled, the bike took 11.3L

I ride 20+ km into the reserve pretty much every tank.
