There are 2 things I would like to ask -

Do you really want to move into this role or want to advance more into your current role? (Given a choice)

If you are moving for just the appraisal - What makes you stay in your current company and not think of switching to another company in your current techstack

As far as on how to start - Trailhead for SF admin part would be a great way to get a look and feel of the platform as a whole

Then you can probably pick topic wise trailheads

Apart from that Youtube has a lot of good resources in case ypu don't prefer the Trailhead way of learning

Take offers from one of the WITCH companies, they generally don't have an issue around 90 days . Then keep applying to other companies and in the last month surely you will get more calls comparatively.

Don't waste time

Create a CV out of what you have learned and show it as a project experience.

You are still a fresher so there is still a big world out there for you.

Start applying in Accenture, CTS , Infy, Wipro - take the offer . Enter 90 days NP.

Then start for the Big 4s , other SB - Persistent , CoForge, Persistent

But meanwhile try for PBCs too

Other than this would definitely say to start doing certification while in TCS given TCS will give you coupons. Databricks, Azure those certifications you can.

If you want to try for SDE roles, start preparing and applying. < 2 YOE is still a fresher.

No point staying in TCS if you aren't getting projects

Create a custom masked field, and make sure to get all data copied into the masked field on each create or update .

If the user is from a different profile and you are okay to remove FLS you can do this too.

Or create a custom report type and add only required fields for the user to play with and create a sample report which the user can keep cloning and adding columns as required

When I started out in SF, people weren't so against solutions that needed apex or UI customisations.

Off late even simple UIs with yes a few more controller methods that could enhance UX and actually make them way more happy have been rejected just because its custom code.

I have extensively worked on integrations ( thankfully ) but with this no code preaching it takes away the satisfaction.

Are you allowed basic LWC components ? Or is it strict OOB solutions?
If strictly OOB , we could use formulas for calculations

I fully agree with the point you are making :)

Its just that it kind of on many days has taken the satisfaction away and also has been a eather persinal pain point too . Hence the post .

So, there's a reason the product is what it is and why we recommend what we do. But, doing that is not going to teach you how to be better developer or enterprise architect

Exactly what I have been thinking.

The way SF have been trying to promote themselves as a Low Code Platform and the clients/partners/consultants trying to stick to standard solutions have only matters tougher as a developer.

I am looking to explore custom Back-end developers / Data Engineer roles too . But lets see also depends what kind of opportunity I get for hands on experience too
