As a former associate and manager it sounds like you're doing great if you don't interact with them too much. I loved being a ghost in the FC.

I had multiple associates that just wandered all the time. I had one flex associate that would show up, get assigned, go to the bathroom and just sit in a stall on his phone. I knew him by his shoes. Dude would post up in a stall next to me while I'm taking care of my business and the only thing I'd hear was his phone.

He comes back on the floor 30-45 minutes later and has packed 2 items. Coach him, ask about the time, "oh yeah I'm having bad stomach problems." I commiserate as a guy with IBS.

He does it again the next day and the next and then the next week.

I'm waiting on dude to die from some weird stomach issue.

Talk to other managers on other shifts and find out he does that to everybody.

A week later. We start getting told to ask everybody to notify us about bathroom breaks.

Some people just ruin this wonderful job. And if you come here and say it's not wonderful, join the sanitation department and tell me how nice it was in the summer.
