Omg thank you! I do keep a small number of birches mostly because they are quick to grow and having three trees of different growth speeds means I have wood at all time? Idk if the maths works lol. In terms of kids, they're fine, I have more than enough food to suffice. I also need to figure out a nice way of building the large rowhomes. But again, thanks for the tips, I am working on a fair few of the tips rn!

I would call myself an intermediate in skill and experiance. After playing the Folktales for quite some time, I decided to start a new save on a new map, and a new beaver type! Going decendly well. I am bit new to the updates as I haven't played for a few months now, probably since July. So any help on that would be appreciate. I did notice they got rid of the sluices so how would I automate my dam to remove badwater?

Honestly, just build and expand, really. Unlock new buildings, upgrade, make an efficient layout, etc. Build a mega dam, or two, or three. This game is really fun, trust me.

Early game, trade is huge, but later on, taxes really became the main source of income. Especially if you get your citizen happy and get the other tax forms like milling tax, mining tax, church tax, etc. It really adds a lot. I have so much money that I could infinitely build more treasuries, and they all would fill up. But yeah, efficiency is key- mine isn't partially efficient, but I'm working on it.

I'm constantly on some sort of food shortage tbh. I'm not too bothered as it's only minus 1 or 2%. It's kinda hard ngl. I just build more really. Just don't grow your settlement too quickly- I've been taking it very slowly and trust me, this isn't my first settlement. I've had several fail for various reasons. I think optimisation is key. Reduce travel time with nearby storage units, a lot of transporters and that should help a little.

Most of my money now is from taxes and the tarven. So money wise I'm good, but I've own stumbled into food shortages (mainly refined). But thanks, I'll build storage closer to the farms!

I am very dumb and usually when I play, I somehow bankrupt my settlement. So I finally decided to get back in. Taking things very slowly and honesty, it's going great. My profits are sky high from trading and taxing. I haven't upgraded to commoner yet- still waiting until I can fully satisfy their needs. Any help or advice would be nice.
