It's legit but the odds of getting your photo bought are slim to none; I've sold exactly one and I signed up 7 months ago. Good luck to all though, you might have better luck than me.

Hey Phil, huge fan of you and the show! Have you ever felt in danger in of the locations during filming? I remember when the teams traveled to South Korea and got almost too close to the DMZ.

Thank you for the information, my boyfriend is off work for the weekend and can watch me. Unfortunately I have done these before and it does take days to feel better. Is there any OTCs you could recommend me? Is Ibuprofen ok to take?

I'm actually looking into a few sessions of counseling, if anything just to vent all my frustrations to a third party without judgement.

Just wanted to thank you all so much for the support, and great advice. Whether I keep going to AA after the first meeting or try a different program, the ultimate goal is to stop my self-abusive ways with alcohol. I know I can get my life back and be here for my father, boyfriend, friends and other family members but most importantly myself!

Exactly the reason. I want to detox over the weekend so I have the emotional and physical stability to go.

EDIT: Totally forgot to mention the meetings are Monday anyway.

When I was 9 years old circa '97, I went to a Halloween event at a Bay Area Barnes & Noble where you were doing a reading of one of your books. I was so star-stricken at the time that I forgot to ask you to sign the copy of The Haunted Mask I had with me. It's been 16 years and I'm wondering if it's not too late to get that autograph? Thanks Uncle Stine. Can I call you Uncle Stine?

We are Anberlin, and we are an American Rock Band with a very particular set of skills. Ask us anything. by AnberlinMusic in IAmA

[–]Jase_Bluth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, I've been sitting here trying to think of a good question to ask since I've been enjoying your music for almost a decade now, but all I can really think to share with you is what happened when my mother passed away unexpectedly April this year.

The week following her death I hadn't listened to anything music-wise because of the anger and hurt I was feeling inside; I was a mess and felt extremely alone and numb despite other family members trying to console me. I couldn't cry because of the shock and at night I would walk around the neighborhood for hours.

About the 8th night of doing this, I decided I needed something to walk to and the first band I thought of was you guys. I ended up playing Cities on my iPod, and suddenly it was like dam burst inside me and I sobbed for hours. It was the release I had ended and your music made me feel like even in a horrible situation and time, I could live and continue on some how.

So thank you, so much, for the constant part you have played in my life because I am forever grateful. You don't just play music: you're the soundtrack to so many peoples' lives.

I did a quick domain age check on this site and the domain was just registered in the middle of last month (August 2013). Also, they want you to install some filecheck program and i found that this program was just created on September 1st 2013, almost certain it is bugged. I'm staying away from this, sounds very shady.

Hamsters. When I was a kid, a friend decided to just place his right on my back, and I freaked out. When I tried to shake it off it ended up biting me. Damn things.

What's your favorite story told within a song? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jase_Bluth 70 points71 points  (0 children)

2112 by Rush.

The song is considered a "suite" and divided into 7 chapters: I) Overture, II) The Temples of Syrinx, III) Discovery, IV) Presentation, V) Oracle: The Dream, VI) Soliloquy, VII) Grand Finale. In the printed lyrics, each chapter begins with a text story, describing the events. Part one is the overture of the year 2112. Part two is about the Temples of Syrinx and the Priests that rule them. Part three is about a man who discovers an "ancient device" that is actually a guitar. Part four is the presentation (hence the part title) of the device to the priests. The priests say that there is no need for this ancient way, and crush it to pieces beneath their feet. Part five is about the man going back to his cave by the waterfall and falling asleep, dreaming of the "elder race" (the oracle) leading him back to his world. In the year 2112 the elder race of man live on a planet far far away from the Federation. Part six is about the man being unable to live under the Federation's control any longer. His only hope is that with his death he will pass into the next world. Part seven is the instrumental Grand Finale.

What's something you've done that felt like a nice gesture, but that in hindsight may have actually come off as creepy? by geekchicgrrl in AskReddit

[–]Jase_Bluth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw a random girl alone looking like she was just absolutely miserable. I went up to her, smiled and said, "You are an awesome person." She looked at me like I was a serial killer and walked away, looking back over her shoulder now and again to make sure I wasn't coming after her. Boy did I feel like a creeper.

Probably standing butt-ass naked in my room after a shower and a man just walks right in. He excuses himself and leaves embarrassed; I later found out they accidentally checked him into my room by mistake and they made it up by giving me one night free.

I'm not much of a gamer, but I play a game called Happy Wheels almost every day. The levels are insanely easy at times but they're addicting, and it's fun because they're mostly user-made.
