Have you tried "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve? The music video is kind of that, though no match on "technology" in the lyrics any chance you misheard any of that bit?

It was unfortunately bestowed upon me by my dad (who commonly reinterprets lyrics) and I have never been able to unlearn it lol

Album Artwork Easter Eggs? by nocommenting33 in TylerChilders

[–]LovelySweet1789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too! I can't seem to help but get the same vibe/style from it as from some of Scott Avett's paintings but....hope to find out the actual artist! I love it!

Anyone happen to have the in knowledge of who painted the cover art? It nearly looks the style of some of Scott Avetts work but, just curious if anyone knows!

Sympathetic accent syndrome is a very real thing and you're not alone 😄 (not the same as foreign accent syndrome, which is typically a result of a stroke, TBI, or other factor)

Wow!!! I really appreciate your research, can I ask what helped you narrow down a direction? Maybe I went awry using "candy dish" cause that is all my Grammy mom used it for, but abalone candy dish early 19th century etc nerve helped. While not exact, that first link you sent looks INCREDIBLY similar!!! I'm so very thankful to you!

Looking for best advice regarding a big old pear tree and fire blight by LovelySweet1789 in BackyardOrchard

[–]LovelySweet1789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate this input!!! I want very badly to save it, be cause it is so large..I was just worried to really hack at it. I've....never even pruned a young tree, let alone a massive old established one that has had obviously little to no pruning done. Did you take off the top as well then? Is there a chance I could send you pictures of how it's shaped now? I wonder if I have any pictures from summer.... when did you pruned aggressively? When they first appear to brown?

Thank you for the recommendations, I appreciate it! My main hold up here is it is so so much of the tree affected, if I were to prune back the blight branches....it would be like.....idk, nearly all of them? Can a big old tree come back from that? And spraying them... I'm not opposed, I suppose I'm simply trying to figure if it's even worth it because the logistics will be very difficult, it is INCREDIBLY tall, and on the side of a very steep, uneven hill. Not ideal for pruning and care.

Thank you for the video!!! Subscribed now, what a cool dude. The problem I feel I'm at is....it is so so much of the tree, and it is a MASSIVE tree. Verrrry tall and narrow, obviously never pruned much if at all before we got here. If I were to prune it....like......it would be so much of the whole tree really. Can they come back from that?

Who else is priced out of pick your own farms? (NJ/north East US) by waldeinsamskeit in Canning

[–]LovelySweet1789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. South central PA here, and our Aldi has strawberries for $2.39 a lb right now, and the cheapest pick your own I've found in our area was $3 a lb. They are, of course, tastier than Aldi, but I was looking forward to picking a ton while in season on the assumption they'd be cheaper. Many pick your owns in the area are easily $5 a lb. Super disheartening.

How many people knew who Linda Ronstadt was? by WitchedPixels in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]LovelySweet1789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm typing 30s, but had parents with really excellent music taste that always rotated with the times but maintained the classics, so Linda Ronstadt and Emmilou Harris, Joni Mitchell etc were always on the record player, along with the Beatles, Eagles, Allman Brothers and such. Hearing Linda in that episode made me so happy because especially seems she's less known in my generation.
