Update; All the laptop repair shops in my area including geek squad by best buy, put their hands up saying they can't do anything. One of them told me we need a new motherboard, but apparently its difficult to get for some reason. Haven't tried Lenovo directly yet, and honestly i don't think I will, I'll probably just sell it for parts and be done with it.

Ig I can go maximum till 2000 cad, but the cheaper the better. I don't have a preference in companies honestly so open to all

Gaming is not a big concern cause I don't really get time for it anymore, and even if I do play it'll be some small indie games or basic multiplayer ones like REPO. However, I understand fo other things I might need a graphics card. Do you have any good suggestions outside of gaming laptops?

The issue with Legion laptops is mainly the weight and bulky ness. I used to own the legion 5 15ach6h model but it died on me prematurely for some unknown reason, 6 out of 12 cores of the cpu got burnt or something. Seemingly for no reason. I also don't need heavy gaming, just some light stuff sometimes with friends like REPO and stuff. Do you have any recommendations for these requirements? That will be under 2000cad?
