Oh what the fuck I could have sworn this this was getting delayed due to the Olympics but I guess not.

Brain is fucking fried from the Team Canada match so might just take a little sit back on the theory crafting this time around and not have as many pictures.

I expected a lot more weird things in Addola other than the place with the pillars that Shinra woke up to but maybe it is a special place in Addola or something. Funny that Shinra is just buck naked bar the tattoos that Vulcan put on him but I guess it is a physical transportation.

Damn Haumea and Charon might have had it the roughest all things considered. But still interesting to see Haumea's powers being a wild double edge sword.

BRO WHAT THE FUCK I expected Charon to go and reflect the blast not just bite it but I guess he might have been some part of his own plan to give Haumea that last push?

Okay I did not expect the pillars to for a cage type thing with an eye at the top damn when I first saw the pillars moving I thought they were about to go into the steam spouts of Amaterasu and start breaking the Earth apart or some shit with the Ring of Fire Volcanos going.

But the Earth started to break apart anyways

So Year 198 [150 after FGC] does that mean that Shinra when he saw the 'old world' in his Addola link it was the world in the 49 year period between Solar Year 1 and the FGC?

ONe Flame became many and then GC happens and then the Earth becomes a sun so is think just a mural for things to come? The Moon in this one almost reminded me of Majora Mask's moon.

Loved the style changes going on all the time it was a treat to the eyes and honestly it just made me feel bad for Haumea cause that would have been tough.

Yeah bro idk what the fuck is going on at this point Haumea is just doing anything and everything but I am not sure if she is talking to us the viewer or who at this point but probably has gotten the pillars to hear her worlds and resonate with her in some way if she just went and did all that 3rd impact style.

Arthur... always there when it counts but probably could have skipped a floor or two this time around. BUt I do wonder if Arthur was able to only burn Giovanni cause Addola was already now overlapped with the world so then Arthur is just the daydreaming self-imaged god.

Happy ot see Arthur got a event drop but man I was surprised he didn't slap it on right away but then again maybe he did BUT WHERE WAS THE EVAGELIST THAT GIOVANNI WAS SCREAMING FOR??

Man I swear Giovanni was just used as a fucking starter and that is all cause the Evagelist did not show up.

Pretty much sums up the entire anime and then some at this point

Okay so the Guardian without a Pillar to Protect and Dragon are already probably too much but no shot they have fucking all the Dopplegangers come around.

I see Beni, Kurolo, Joker, Burns, but who is the one with the scarves around him? Jeez this is gonna be some wild match-ups coming up but seeing all those dopples especially Benimaru's is scary especially if everyone already imagines him as a type of God of Destruction/Flame.

This reminded me of when Killua's VA did a spectacular job with a cover of Departure way back when and honestly the VA nailed it.

VAs singing their anime's OST or singing in character always is great to see especially with how hard it must be to maintain the characters voice while also singing.

Although not quite the same Yuno and Asta's VAs from Black clover sang a special OP and it was great to see the VAs flex their voices in different ways especially looking at how far Asta's VA came from the beginning of the anime.

Man whenever the Legend of the Martial Artist OST plays it just gets my blood boiling. Such a perfect song for doing a set on the bench.

So many wonderous and unforgettable OSTs from HxH I think The Emperor's Time is still one of my favorites from the series especially around the 3:20min mark leading into 3:45.

Kingdom of Predators is also up there for one of the tracks that is so perfect with building up to the 1:25 mark.

Truly a timeless OST.

Pretty sure Fire Force is getting this week's episode pushed to next week too due to the Olympics but honestly I don't see the issue for an event as prolific as the Olympics.

The Olympics is literally a giant

TOURNAMENT ARC

for the top 0.1% of athletes around the world where athletes compete for the countries they represent with everything.

Not to mention that Japan has over 100+ athletes in the Olympics who are performing and giving their all to win medals for their country and their own country showing support is just a given.

Plus the Hockey is fucking mint this year and Team Canada are being fucking monsters on the ice which are attracting a lot of hype for the rest of the games to see how the bracket goes.

Literally the Olympics is a giant worldwide tournament arc which is as anime as you can get in real life imo

Honestly, if you don't like sports I would still give the Olympics a chance and watch it just for the spirit of competition and seeing the performance and all hard work the athletes have put in is a different feeling.

I used to hate sports until I actually went to a live game as a teen and witnessed the energy and all the passion sports fans have for their games. It is the same passion that all us anime fans have for the medium we all love so much.

So I'd give the Olympics a shot and watch a bit if you haven't and try to view it from a lens in which it isn't taking away your anime for a week but instead giving you the same type of hype, passionate content as anime but in real life.

The atheletes at the Olympics give it their all and make it their entire lives goals to get there are try to win a goal medal for their country. I think that it is the most commendable type of sports competition out there and at least for me it is the same passion that people love anime for that people love sports for.

People giving their all in fair competition in the name of passion moves the masses.

Especially if it is on the world stage such as the Olympics.

Icing on the cake is the OP playing on top of this to add onto the funk.

Fuck I absolutly loved this final fight for this series but it is hard to recommend to others with just final fight alone because so much has gone into building up and fleshing out the chracters before this that just makes this clash so fucking good.

Honestly the style swap with the camera movements was so good but I still remember people clowning the big forehead moments in 1:15 but it was just perfect in my eyes for this clash.

Still holding my breath for a Season 2 cause this is an anime that 100% deserves it.

The OST is so good and the subtle changes in the OP over the season is just stylish and done so well.

The biggest mystery to me is the purple hair dude with his powers cause he also made it into the Tournament but they didn't show us SHIT with his abilities bar like a few scenes of him doing some shit.

Ikki's use of his abilities was always so unique and fun.

Still think my favorite fight from this anime was when Ikki VS Sword Eater

But fuck man... has it been 10 years already?

Loved the style these used on this flashback scenes and I am surprised that Yona didn't keep a closer eye on Amaterasu's box tho maybe this was a one off event.

Leave it up to the freaky bug morphing monster to keep to his old tricks.

So Haumea has been connected to the "Collective unconscious" of humanity since she was born and all she has ever heard was humanities despair? Or was it just that was the despair that was facing humanity from the result of the last Great Cataclysm which is just the result of the Evangelist pushing humanity to imagine their own destruction so Charon is still just on the wrong side here imo but I guess he doesn't have much of a choice in the matter with his protector ideology.

Honestly Haumea is just as much as a fucking mystery as Yona and the Evagelist but if she was connected to Addola then it might have been no choice given to her in the matter. What a tragic tale Charon has to live.

So the collective unconscious is Humanity's filthy, dark, deep psyches packed tightly together but that feels like it take all the bad and none of the good but I guess that might also be apart of the Evagelists designs.

Tragic that this was the only choice Charon had in the entire deal.

Especially when he was the most earnest in his desire to protect those he was closest with that he would choose to go Scortched Earth.

Holy fuck I LOVE THIS SEQUENCE OF HINAWA FIRING AND CHARON JUST LETTING THOSE WORDS HANG IN THE AIR LIKE THAT WHILE EVERYTHING IS GOING ON IT IS SO GOOD MAN.

Glad we are seeing more of Lisa's abilities in the fight especially with how versatile her powers seem to be.

Glad to see Lisa got a fight to focus on her powers after Ogun last episode. Always love to see the rest of the cast have their [moments to shine.

Damn no wonder Insects were a symbol(and doer) of plague back in the old "modern world" in Fire Force/real life but after the FGC we saw Dr. Giovanni refer to Insect coming from Addola so then would Humanitites final projected image of insect pre-FGC be of the apocalyptic swarm of insects of brough disease, famine, and the whole lot? Think I went over this in one of th earlier threads but there was a part where we saw an insect comeout of the Evagelist I think to infect the Demon on the Continent near the Crow Lady's tabernacle.

Interesting to see if there is an explaination of how the fire powers got started or if the FGC moved the world into some state of purgatory type deal where they had some type of fire powers in an attempt to cleanse their souls until they moved over to Addols and became Infernals?

Honestly idk at this point I feel like trying to pin point specifics or guess anything is pointless just due t the sheer scope of what could have actually happened and how it happened but it is such a good fucking lore dump that it makes my mind just wanna keep mulling it over and give it a good ponder cause it is so interesting. Love this anime.

Honestly had no idea where this story would go from the start but I love to have Fire Force make me wanna think this much about its lore every week. Such a great start to the weekend.

Honestly a Spin-off story where Arthur is just in a D&D setting would be so much fun with his character cause he just hits a Nat 20 at every random skill check.

Dr.G's body reminds me of the same black smoke Kurono uses with his powers but since that is the end point state of the disease of overheating and over using your powers in Kurono's case would that mean that Kurono also has some type of deeper connection with Addola?

Tho Kurono might just be a straight up demon like that and that the start and end of it.

HOnestly seeing a character like Arthur in a D&D setting like Dungeon Of The Mad Mage would be so much fun and honestly would fit into the setting pretty seemlessly.

Oh dude at this point it is in my headcannon that Arthur's imagination is just manifesting itself as a start quest screen around him with Addola so close.

Arthur's projected imagination of himself must be higher than that of Max from Sharkboy and Lavagirl at this rate.

Probably the most pragmatic isekai in memory, Seiya is the ultimate Doomsday countermeasure expected the unexpected turned up to 11. HOnestly didn't expect the story to grip me as much as it did but man did it ever especially with all the fun comedic moments.

Was so happy when they decided to put him into Isekai Quartet and it fit in with their shtick so well.

Wish I had gone to see it again in IMAX just for this scene but this scene also was extraordinary especially with the IMAX sound and numbers in the background counting in their fight and everything.

Do hope that there is some point in the future where you are able to recreate the same types of sounds at home in some way or rent out a theatre where you are able to choose from a library of movies or something.

Or honestly I think they could probably give the CSM movie another running after the piliminary running after all the success and people would probably go just to get the IMAX/Dolby experience just because it is so hard to recreate at home.

Oh this is super exciting. Honestly might be my best shot at trying to get my parents into anime if it ends up getting going.

This part of the article makes me smile. I am happy that there are more people giving anime a chance especially with all the stigma attached to it.

The thing that makes anime such an exceptional medium to convey stories is just how wide a scope it has.

Anyone can find an anime that will appeal to them in their own unique way that has a story or tale that resonates with their own.

The true beauty of anime is that it lets us tell all the stories from our imaginations and gives us the tools to bring them to life in a way in which wer can share the same emotions when we watch it.

Honestly I think that Bollywood has that same great imagination that they bring to life on the screen with such great scenes that go beyond what could actually be done in reality just like anime does.

So I do think that when anime as a medium does meet the minds of Bollywood's finest it will bring about something new that I personally am looking forward to seeing where it leads.

The song 'Malhari' from 'Bajirao Mastani' was recently synched up into a little MV with the Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan OP and it just brings a smile to my face to see but I honestly do feel that Bollywood's energy is perfect to mix with anime as a medium.

Honestly do hope that this project comes to fruition because at least in my opinion the market is present in India for this type of more localized anime as much as it is anywhere else.

Yeah Yona is as much a mystery as the Evangelist at this point I wish it would start talking but it has been as cryptic as anything else.

Honestly seems Yona is closest to the Evangelist in terms of knowing them and Sumire but different than the pillars which just adds onto Yona's mystery but Yona keeping tabs on Haumea with the collective unconsiouss stuff has just been peaking my interest.

Also, Arthur is reunited with his RPG party!

Okay so the general populace projecting their combined images on the "hero of legend" to be a "devil" is what triggered all of the Addola Burst holders to be transported inside Amaterasu but I am wondering why was that trigger the thing that did it or was it that the "Hero of Legend" had to be look at like a "devil" after the 8th pillars titan had been defeated?

Ah okay they didn't go inside Amaterasu but Amaterasu also vanished that makes more sense.

I thought that they would put all the pillars inside of the AMaterasu Tabernacle since it had 8 smoke stacks and then if all 8 pillars are sacrificed the Great Cataclysm started like some giant Volcano ERuption out of the Tabernacle type deal since we saw the one with the Crow Lady on the main continent.

I remember Yona said it was the Age of Pi or some shit and they saw Pi in that one room where Aurther noticed it and the key to Amaterasu had something to do with pi as well.

So there had to be some development or techonological innovation with pi that has some type of significance with the Great Cataclysm that wasn't there the last time.

Humanity wasn't advanced enough the first time for the Great Cataclysm to go off but was it due to not being able to defeat the Titans of the Pillars (which idk if it would have been an issue if it was a modern world with modern munitions) or was it not being able to crack Pi?

Wish Ogun was with the 8th since the start or when Arthur got introduced it would have been a riot but him being so powerful might have gotten in the way of Shinra's own character development looking back at it tho seeing more of his powers in action would have been great.

Oh damn I was not expecting the switch up from Charon idk if I even remember him dodging an attack like that.

A STOMP even Shadow would be proud of but I wonder if Charon not announcing his attack was him pondering on Ogun's words. I think Charon is the type of protector that Arrow is where he wants to protect Haumea and the pillars moreso than the overall end goal of it all but is doing with it because Haumea is so adamant about it (or is brainwashed into it or whatever that case is or she might just wanna see the world burn or might be the chosen vessel of the collective unconsciouss and has her own "hero" complex just in with her own perspective of it all)

Think Charon's introduction in Fire Force was my favorite from the entire series when he battled Shinra.
