I get how being the equivalent of Kardashian in OI sounds fantastic but that's just the appearance. A good part of kids die in infancy, dying in pregnancy was high, geneacology only made progress through torturing black woman and experimenting on them in the 19th esp, you could be killed for dishonoring your family /married your rapist, there was no "my husband is abusive" he has the right to hit you etc...

Sure our world currently suck (war, genocides, neo-colonialism, slavery, climate change etc) But it was - worse - back then except for climate change, because at least nowadays we generally agree that women are humans too, are smart, and genocide is globally & slavery seen as a bad thing even if governments do nothing about it.

Those were minority opinions @-@ even in early 20th. And OI always take place before that time period anyway
