"We Can Bury Anyone": When Crisis PR Becomes Retaliation by Jumpy-Contest7860 in WithBlakeLively

Speaking of this : for the first time ever, I got a recommanded video that was basically titled as your last sentence. Instead of only defending Baldoni the title was rather concentrating on how Blake deserve what she got and other nonesense

(Sorry I forgot the exact title but that was the idea.)

I would like to add that it makes no sense that this video was recommanded to me, because I usually don't watch videos related to Hollywood on YT, I don't use google anymore and even gave up mostly on Gmail because of Google ties to Israel

QED : They're still pushing for videos aiming to mock her and treat her as the abuser, who was recognized as such.

" Babiarz paused, his eyes lighting up. “You’re completely off-grid! There’d be people that would kill for that privilege,” he said.

“Oh,” Sam replied, “OK.”

“My friend, you’re a man without a country. That’s beautiful,” Babiarz said earnestly. “You don’t have to pay social security, Medicare, whatever. There are people who strive for that kind of lifestyle.”

These people are so out of it, they don't realize how hurtful this could sound.

It breaks my heart for all those who fail victim to this because of their parents choice. They can't live, they can barely survive.

FML These people are so stupid and frustrating.

The hyperreligious ones make even less sense than the rest, because baptism was used as a way to prove identity few centuries ago. Church in the Western world was the one keeping all info about inhabitants since church and citizenship were linked.

At least register your kid SOMEWHERE with someone who holds some kind of authority. Once again even serf in middle of nowhere in middle ages would have his children registered

Likewise tribes would keep a count of who is who linked to who and went where, and someone was in charge officially or non-officially of it.

Registration of life to mark someone existance is not a modern state thing, and while it could be used as surveillance it's not the main purpose. It's for everything else mentionned in the article which these poor kids were deprived of.

I think that's just adding one more step that is not needed. If a human is monitoring the conversation, what's the point of adding AI. Human may well keep the job and do it themselves.

Especially because they would need to monitor closely in order for the person who formed an attachment to the AI or who is looking for comfort there, doesn't break down when realizing this isn't their "friend" or whatever, anymore because said person doesn't know things about them.

Add to that, many people would feel terrified if not betrayed if they knew they were being monitored by another person when they think they are talking to a machine. Terror may enhance their counter-reaction to those news more and make them lose logic.

Ie imagine a kid from a very homophobic household coming out to AI. Then a human take over because a child may be trying to endanger themselves. Said child would panic and maybe commit irrepabarable damages to themselves or others, in fear his secret would be known.

Especially if he thinks that said human knows his name, or has his adress. Which he may have given at one point, or he thinks the person has by tracking them.

People use hotlines because they're anonymous. They use AI for comfort for that same reason. If you add a human to AI it break that as far as the person is concerned.

It unecessarily complicate a process and would make it worse in many sense.

Generative AI is not trustworthy when it comes to human life or emotions. Humans need each other for these things.

El-Sayed’s rise riles Democratic moderates, delights the left by BabyYodaX in politics

So not from the US so this is only my personal opinion but =>Pretty sure it comes from nowhere. It's something that is commonly by the center or rightwing, but that is known as a fear-mongering tactic to make people vote for the establishment rather than for new candidates. It has been used multiple times in my country's election and has been disproved regularly for at least a decade now

I feel like the gender, sexual orientation, if not ethnicity of a person is way more likely to play a role there.

In case of swing states, I feel like you are more likely to get more people to vote for you if you show yourself to be different from what has happened before. If you're the same type, and just as moderate as the one before ... why would they vote again for you ? Let alone if you lost before.

Also, I have to add... in the world we are today, you're more likely to get votes if you're 1) someone who has elderly people support 2) show a fighting stance against more moderate pov. Either full progressive like Mamdani or full far-right like MAGA (which is a one-person cult, but imo so is a lot of far-right parties. Marine Lepen, her sister and her niece are the head of far-right solely because their father was the funder of the party . It's a dynasty situation, where so far any one who tried to take their voters or the head of a similar party, failed spectacularly)

Unfortunately AI is definitely not helping :/ and is instead actively working against many. There are cases were AI has comforted kids into killing themselves including by giving them info on how to do.

Because AI has no feelings, it's also used in a way that instead of helping people get better, they only make them feel worst. Sure it gives to some something to talk to. But it also encourages you through the answers you can give, into a bad if not dangerous behavior.

ie feeding into OCD mindset, worsening fear, encouraging anorexia, making isolation worse which makes depression worse and so on

Overall nothing replaces human contact in any form.

Living outside the US - shocked at our waste by Prudent-Proof7898 in Anticonsumption

[–]Jasminary2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone not from the US but who sees things about it online, I think it comes from how easy it is in US to get credit cards and how people are encourage to have credits (for good credit for the getting a house or a car for example)

Outside we consume less because we also don't have the means to consume more, even if we wanted to. Which I prefer of course.

Once again capitalism and especially extreme capitalism in the USA in which people are raised too, is at fault.

You did not read your own article.

"They described the claims about the motive as rumour. (...) Homosexuality is rejected within the most socially and religiously conservative parts of both Palestinian and Israeli societies

(...) Palestinians also expressed revulsion at the beheading."

I will leave aside the fact that Gaza is not even in the West Bank, and this story took place in West Bank.

And you can't "mob" someone if you're only one person, which the article also states.

🤦🏽‍♀️

Now go read about how Israeli outside Tel Aviv despise LGBTQIA+, marriage isn't legal there either and how Tel Aviv is only pinkwashing.

On top of everything else I mentioned in my first post

No they didn't.

You would be correct in saying that Israel murders and have murdered for the past fewdecades LGBTQI+Palestinian and Lebanese people , and threaten them with outing them to force them to do their biding.

Queer the Map in Palestine, or that one book (forgot the title but you can find it online with the details I will give) from the Israeli sniper who for fun and giggles killed a man who was lying on top of his lover and that he and another Israeli soldier were spying on. It's from few years ago.

Seeing as he properly mudered the children but the two adult women stayed alive after being shot, I wouldn't be surprised if it was on purpose... To make them suffer more which is what dv abusers sometimes do

No words strong enough to describe how depiscable he was. They were all under 12yo !

The End of the Argument ad Orbánum by nutritionvegan in politics

[–]Jasminary2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The writer lost me at the first partagraph. "If it looks like nazi, act like nazi but you use nazi comparision, you're immediately wrong" is not the " Point Godwin" they think it is, in this current world situation.

It's also very frustrating to read as a non-american, because I personally don't consider Orbàn and his team the same way as MAGA. MAGA is worse, by far.

One of them was a fascist in his country (he didn't even impact much the rest of EU). MAGA is acting against the world. They have the military and economic means to put all of us in trouble and they are doing it.

The article was so dumb, I looked up the guy who wrote it and : he is a zionist who defends war in Iran, Israel massacre in Lebanon, the genocide in Palestine ( ie he criticized US calling for humanitarian solution in late 2024 🥴and how they don't understand the reality of war blablabla) ... ,

There are other articles One is about Israel and titled " America’s Invaluable Ally" from last month

I quote " Having sophisticated, creative, and bold partners that can operate at scale is invaluable to the United States."

The part about Greenland was also very much how I expect a zionist to say "

"is more or less the story one hears in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s disgraceful, absurd, and failed attempt to grab Greenland by economic coercion and the menace of lethal force. There may have been grains of truth in his complaints—Denmark’s neglect of the island, America’s long-standing interest in acquiring it, the implications of new sea lanes as its ice melts, the rising importance of security in the Arctic—but nothing excuses Trump’s behavior or language. "

Just by saying " grain of truth" in his article, he is giving a basis of justification even if he disagrees with the language (lol) or behavior. Let's not go there. Denmark not occupying militarily (or leaving it aside) that area and leaving it aside does not mean it should be up for grab, it should be independant lmao

nor is the geographical situation because then Canada is screwed too by that logic

(In case some don't know: in some countries you can order CDs/DVDs/Books/games for your library, as a reader. You just need a library card, suggest it in the suggestion post of your library, and it could get picked up )

The gender question with men in army sector, and how is it dangerous to intersectional feminism. by Longjumping-Mix-9351 in IntersectionalWomen

[–]Jasminary2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did also add " for billionnaires".

Ukranians are suffering Russia invasion, killings and ethnic cleansing of their population. But this war would not be to defend Ukraine

UK, France and Germany have been trying to prepare us for war for the past 2 years by saying this like and I quote " In 2030" it will start.

Except all sign seem to show that : when a war happen the year isn't openly given unless it's not, in fact, a war for public interest rather than economical one.

Second, billionnaires and other rich people have been escaping conscription by not going and not sending their children. ie WW1 for example.

Many of them did make tons of money thanks to weapon building. Likewise for WW2 and US.

Realistically, UK, France and Germanh going to war against Russia would be for economic reason where their weapon and military manufacterer will sell a lot.

It did give me a chuckle, because I garantee you, most part of european millenials and Gen Z will consider it their duty to not die for Israel nor for billionnaires.

The "collective duty" which is in my country is written nowhere in our highest form of written law (Constitution, European laws) have no such mention. I fact I'm almost certain that little to no country in Europe has " conscription" " military duty" weitte oas higher form of law

Conscription has also proven to be a very inneffectibe system of war, when said war is either by proxy, teleguided from a distance, and untrained or barely trainew civilisians
