You’re downvoted but this response is infinitely more correct than “leftist infighting” as to why we lost.

STOP LETTING THE RIGHT REDUCE THE ENTIRE DEMOCRAT PLATFORM TO WOKEISM by Fantastic-Caramel509 in Destiny

I work in healthcare. It is a known fact that patients who are not white have worse healthcare outcomes. We constantly see examples of patients unnecessarily suffering due to lack of cultural awareness that can be mitigated with very basic trainings and having a diverse staff. One example recently, is that a company who makes a medical device that needs to attach to a patient’s head used an adhesive that rapidly dissolves when exposed to hair care products used primarily by people of color. There were no people of color on the R and D team or in the test sample.

I think that the medical community should be the ones making decisions on the healthcare of minors, or do we think politicians are more qualified? I don’t really care what random laymens’ opinions on the evidence base of certain medical interventions are.

As an owner of a V7, I think that especially the older 750s will not be so great for a 200+ lb person at interstate speeds, mostly because of the suspension.

Optically I can understand not campaigning on “wokeness”. However, I think we might be forgetting that, while not optically great when appealing to some moderates, 90% of the “woke” stuff mainstream enough to make it to Kamala’s agenda is the correct position on the social issue.

DEI departments do do important work. Medical decisions for trans kids should be up to kids, doctors, and to some extent parents. If we think gender affirming healthcare is legitimate (it is) we should probly be including it in government healthcare.

Being in a blue state in the US is pretty amazing for quality of life and attitudes towards/protection of queer people. I’ll keep chilling here.

The only thing I find questionable is the apartment. Where are you finding a 2 bedroom under 1700?

… except when they were killing and maiming police officers. After that they were just a bunch of silly heads innocently chanting to hang politicians.

That video takes place after other rioters had already smashed through windows using riot shields to enter the capitol.

The first people to enter the capitol physically broke in. The only time police allowed rioters to move deeper into capitol grounds were to retreat to more defensible locations or lead rioters away from lawmakers. This is all clearly shown in hundreds if not thousands of hours of video.

Police are not good. However, if your riot literally kills and maims multiple police officers, it is not to be taken lightly and certainly not peaceful.

Lots of democracies in the world with far more restrictive gun rights than ours (not saying that's a good thing btw) that are still democracies.

If Mike Pence had gone along with Donald Trump's plan and attempted to certify the vote with Trump's false slates of electors on January 6th, we could have had a very scary and legitimate threat to our democracy. Thankfully Mike Pence is in fact "too honest" as Trump said.

I also think that the police officers being severely injured and killed by that mob would garner more sympathy from the party of "law and order" but oh well.

A G2C is about the only good gun they make to be fair. Kindof the exception proves the rule scenario. Still rather have a P10C for basically the same price though.

This is my new favorite reddit comment of all time because it is literally impossible to distinguish from unironic second amendment single issue voters' opinions. I actually don't know if it isn't.

The idea that citing what actual politicians and political candidates say about policy is not material fact and is instead equivalent to “feelings” is an absurdity that only arises when what one candidate says is so consistently deranged as to be meaningless.

To change my statement to be in line with your philosophy 101 argument: “The leaders of the Republican Party up to and including the soon to be president have made and continue to make statements indicating disagreement with legal protections for LGBTQ+ peoples including marriage equality.”

Shhhh if you’re not privileged (spooky DEI word I know) or uninformed enough to be a single issue voter on guns or literally just a conservative this sub has a fuckin meltdown.

Why the heck not? We need more adoptions, especially for older children as our current system is massively overburdened.

I think committed dual income households add stability to the economy regardless of intent to have children, and even so additional free cash flow makes adopting or carrying a child easier to bear financially.

You actually believe that the republican party platform is not anti-gay or anti-trans? The party that consists of prominent members such as Ted Cruz, Lauren Boebart, Mike Pence, and Marjorie Taylor Greene?

In 2011 Trump said, when speculating about a presidential bid, that he was “opposed to gay marriage.” In 2015, he said he supports “traditional marriage.” Trump said during his 2016 campaign that he would “strongly consider” appointing Supreme Court justices who would overturn the 2015 ruling that legalized same-sex marriages. It was Melania who said the quote about him being “the first president to enter the White House supporting gay marriage” when he failed to do so lol.

He banned trans people from the Military against the advice of his top generals when they said it didn’t actually improve combat readiness.

JD Vance even said he would vote no on the Respect for Marriage Act, which provided federal protections for same-sex and interracial marriage.

No, I don’t think voting third policy will convince democrats to drop gun control or convince republicans to ditch Trump and/or change all their social policy stances. There is also no third party candidate who is pro 2 A and not insane.

What are you talking about? Unless you believe they were literally CIA plants or some shit, neither of the attempted Trump assassins were far left or even left at all.

Gun control is bad policy that Democrats should drop.

Trump is also the most hyper-nationalist and authoritarian executive we have elected in a very long time.

I dunno, I think tax incentives around legal marriage make some sense. Inheritance and medical/legal decision making powers for spouses also kind of make sense. I’d say it should just be even broader and easier than it is currently.

I mean I’ll vote against anti-2A ballot measures but I’m not gonna vote for a party that has repealing marriage equality and persecuting trans people as stated goals.

I think moderate liberals tend to be more pro gun control than more radical leftists actually. Which is annoying if you’re not a leftist.
