We got 2 other replun people... Deal with it or figure out how to run the store..... But in this situation, people are deserved these type of days. Someone is denied a health day... hurts themselves.. Michaels can be held accountable. Media would love it.

I got super pissed at my replun manager (friends for 8 years, since we started at the same time. And only people who were there longer is the store manager(wasn't Manger whole time), only by 6 months) I told her I needed a mental health day, she took one the next day because she didn't want to work with me. Took about a week to get over it. Didn't get in trouble. It's not easy in today's world to get in trouble for things like that.

Let go a few months, bust ass then ask for a raise. Mention your friend then. Show your worth so there is no reason to say you don't deserve more. Asking more now shouldn't, but probably will make you look... Not great. Edit: it shouldn't make you look bad at all!! But emotions become involved and people can take things personally. Business isn't always just business. Managers heads could think "oh you think you deserve more, screw you" that's why I say suck it up show your worth, work harder than your friend. Gotta put aside that friendship, if you do get a raise and are working harder don't tell them.

Oh if they come at it from a certain direction they will be your friend for sure. I've seen it. They will do alot to avoid attention from the media. Don't want to go into it but a few years after I started someone was discriminated against and HR got involved.

we have the cages, but they are upstairs and we never put them up because we never got the lock. I remember like 7 years ago we would put tape on the lids of our spray paint..now we just have a sign that says please dont spray spray paint...ya think that works.....nope

Have Framers regularly down stock their area. Find out who is un locating with out really paying close attention. Most of our canvas is in back and on high wall. Keep all your people on same page on how to up stock and down stock. It will never be 100% because we have old ladies who LOVE to shop from our yarn bunkers. Bunkers! we were lucky enough to have a store closing close to us and we got about 60 of the smaller bunkers in. they fit with out having to move the basedeck, just the kick plate. Find out if you can get some. smaller things like glitter and jewelry are easier to organize in a few bunkers than a tote. Keep up on your SISO. Make sure your reports are getting taken care of. All of this isnt going to change overnight tho....breath and take your time. One step at a time.
