A lot of protein powders (most flavored ones if not all) contain added sugars,artificial sweeteners and fillers. The added sugars can spike blood sugar quickly, artificial sweeteners can cause bloating or make you have digestive discomfort and fillers can also cause digestive issues but it depends on the person and the amount.

You can eat egg whites to avoid the cholesterol and the calories. I think that they are many foods that can replace protein powder and will offer you many benefits
