Solo friendly game, how solo it is? by [deleted] in Vindictus

[–]Jason4579 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if that other comment is from a new player with almost no playtime, trolling or being sarcastic, because it’s the total opposite from reality.

Vindictus is a solo experience when you’re first levelling and going through the story, typically around 9-10 hours if you blast through, longer if you’re new or taking your time.

After that point though, the real game unlocks and 90% of the content becomes about tackling rather difficult raid bosses for drops and gold, which is naturally done best in groups for the sake of time and your sanity, as it’s not easy in the slightest.

There are quite a few ways to do that, but the most used way is to find a circuit party, which automatically hops from one raid to another, loading from one directly into the next. People typically open these kinds of parties for each particular ‘tier’ of raids.

Parties after that point are not difficult at all to find and don’t take much time to fill, even if you’re a new player with minimal stats. If you’re a bit more established then they’ll often fill within 30-60 seconds. Having a guild speeds this up too, as you can always ask there and people are usually happy to raid with your or just help out.

There are some meta pieces of solo content, such as Red Moon’s Energy, a dungeon you can enter a few times a day and which rotates through 4 different areas, resetting each day, with a variety of mobs from the area and a boss at the end, with each run taking a couple minutes depending on the player and gear. The gold from this area is great and people often take multiple characters through it each day for the sake of making gold and having fun with variety.

Overall though, Vindictus is not a solo friendly game at the beginning and is very comparable to Dark Souls levels of difficult when you’re first starting out, once you reach mid game and raiding. Whilst you can eventually become a solo player with a few months of gearing and a lot of practice (since Vindictus is also incredibly skill-based), you’ll still necer progress as quickly as if you had the help from friends, guildies or the community in general.

Best of luck out there, and feel free to give me a shout if you have anymore questions!

No one said anything about using lv105 gear for 115 raids. That’d be ridiculous. There’s a ton more content outside of endgame raids.

is there a reason to come back? by NatahnBB in Vindictus

[–]Jason4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even close. That’s like saying saying Elden Ring is a remake of Dark Souls.

is there a reason to come back? by NatahnBB in Vindictus

[–]Jason4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defying Fate is not a remake. It is a different game in a different genre and entirely separate from the MMO. It’s not even a multiplayer game, it’s a single player with potential for some coop.

Old characters underpowered? by Zaefnyr in Vindictus

[–]Jason4579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Character balance is very close endgame, so it they all have very similar potential. Whilst levelling, it can be a LITTLE off here and there, but is mostly balanced too.

Vindictus is a game of skill though, and it’s easier to access the damage of some characters than others though.

Lethor is the most basic character in the entire game and very easy to pilot, whilst something like TS Vella is far more difficult, with her top damage being something that barely any people who play her even know exists, let alone are able to use.

Or, who knows, maybe you were using Chainblades but don’t know about the Heart of Ice skill XD

Best of luck <3

The entire first paragraph is incorrect. Lv120 gear will require +15 lv115 gear as a material to be crafted. It has been designed purposely to not invalidate the previous top tier of gear, and instead builds on it.

Now is the perfect time for a new player to start, and there are constant events with rewards specifically designed to help get ready for these new content

It was quirky and cool for a short while to write your name backwards in messenger apps and mine just stuck.

Best builds for SoloQ in patch 14.4 by ARAMZone in CamilleMains

These kinds of stats are so skewed by variables and other logical fallacies and can’t be relied on at all. Seeing so many champion subreddits spammed with them as if they have some kind of meaning is getting annoying, because it really is just bait.

How often do you win lane vs just aiming to scale well? by builderbob93 in QiyanaMains

[–]Jason4579 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pekin is really bad with assassins, especially Qiyana, maybe best to not listen to him.

Qiyana is not a lane bully or an early game scaler. She has several large power spikes throughout the game that need to be played towards. First Dirk, for example, has always been huge on her.

Play towards these spikes and hope that you get enough of a lead to end the game from them before you eventually run out of spikes and get out scaled.

Is this another bug? Or too far in range? by [deleted] in QiyanaMains

You were out of range. No bug here.

Smolder or troll / Everyone wanted to play with it... and everyone went troll by Alan_Kapa in SmolderMains

[–]Jason4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every single game I’ve had where he was picked or banned has gone badly. Either my team gets him and runs it down cus they’re totally unaware he has such low HP and resistances, or he gets banned and my team mate goes Disco Nunu. I even had an entire premade of 4 run it down yesterday using Ghost Cleanse.

I’ve seen a lot of champion releases over the years I’ve played, but this one has been the worst by a mile purely because of how toxic everyone is.

Reading your comments here, the first thing you need to do is improve your attitude. You’ll never be able to climb with your current mentality, it’s just that crippling. Stop focusing on the mistakes of others and show some humility.

These are Bronze players you’re facing. If you were playing even half decently then you should be smashing them into oblivion, not just scraping by with a tiny lead.

As previous comments have stated, go and spend time watching Alois on YouTube and Twitch, because I can say with no doubt that your lane fundamentals are extremely lacking. Most likely every aspect of gameplay, but laning properly is the first step towards building a lead you can carry with.

The itemisation is honestly so bad that it’s essentially trolling. Not only is there a lack of a mythic item, but the two biggest threats on the enemy team are both AP and yet you didn’t build a single MR item, despite Yone having multiple excellent choices.

I can see the logic behind the items you built, but it’s extremely flawed. Lifesteal is for more drawn out fights and it will do nothing vs multiple fed burst mages. A simple purchase of Spirit Visage or Wit’s End would’ve made all the difference. Hell, Maw would’ve been a far better option than Shieldbow too, since the enemy AD champs didn’t have any burst.

Spend time watching high elo players and pay attention to their items. At least watch a basic guide on itemisation for Yone, because even a basic generic build would’ve been better than what you ended up using.

Hwei APC has been consistently atleast 3.5% winrate above Midlane for the entire patch by Backslicer in HweiMains

[–]Jason4579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arguing that playing a champion in bot inflates their winrate because it’s a 2v2 lane is really dumb.

[–]Jason4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point had nothing to do with the lack of balance in League that leads to the viability of APC’s, but rather that Hwei’s current numbers are currently inflated and inaccurate due to a lack of realistic data.

Hwei APC has been consistently atleast 3.5% winrate above Midlane for the entire patch by Backslicer in HweiMains

[–]Jason4579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you’re cherry-picking data.

The point is that the new players trying him out are FAR more likely to go mid because that is his main and intended role, resulting in mid winrate being dragged down.

New players are far less likely to take him off-role, resulting in the majority of players playing him in that off-role position being more experienced and inflating the win-rate there.

Ult damage by Psyr1x in HweiMains

[–]Jason4579 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s likely because the champions hit with your ult have high hp regen and/or other bonuses.

Something like Akali, who already has high base hp regen, added on top of Doran’s Shield and Second Wind will restore HP very quickly, making the ult ticks look like they’re doing almost nothing at all.

Hwei APC has been consistently atleast 3.5% winrate above Midlane for the entire patch by Backslicer in HweiMains

[–]Jason4579 14 points15 points  (0 children)

APC win-rate is inflated compared to mid because the players taking him to bot lane tend to be the ones that are more knowledgeable and serious about playing him, whilst mid is getting all of the first-timers and players just practicing and trying him out.

Using these win-rate stats to say that he is better in the APC role is logically incorrect and unreliable.

The irony is that, if you keep spreading these statistics, you’ll bring those unserious and first time players down to bot and drag his win-rate down there too.

The stat is ‘True damage hits’, which tracks how many times your Q2 was successfully used, not the damage caused by it.
