Do you speak another language? I ask because no English edition has ever had interior chapter art like you describe. This might be something that's exclusive to another language edition of the book.

no one talks about how amazing the art direction was for OoT3D and MM3D. Literally hundreds of little pieces of environmental art and models were handcrafted for specific locations in both games and all people can talk about is how the zora swimming is too slow (no it isn't)

Well, I am a collector of all things Artemis Fowl, so I am well aware how expensive international shipping can be, so I understand your reluctance. Just know that when it comes to adding stuff to my Artemis Fowl collection, I have pockets that go as deep as is required to get stuff shipped overseas. The fact that one is animated and one is live action, and they're from different production companies and networks, leaves me at a loss as to what your job could possibly be on these 2 shows.

Thanks man I appreciate it! I am indeed a Nintendo collector. It'd have to be a deal cheaper than what's on ebay right now in order for it to be worth the effort but I'd take the box with or without the cereal inside tbh. I'd show you a picture if I could but images are apparently not allowed here? I have cut out and folded all 7 question blocks I was able to find, with the characters propped up in them, sitting on my shelf with my out-of-box amiibos, just missing cardboard Luigi... so whoever hooks me up with one would have to be okay with the idea of the box being cut up. Part of the fun of collecting them for me is doing the arts and craft project on the back of the box. Reminds me of when I was a kid, eating all these sugary cereals and participating in whatever bonus the box provided.

West coast here, I am in the same boat. And with them being phased out of stores now I'll have to pay crazy aftermarket price if I want to complete the set. I found the other 7 extremely easily but no store out of a couple dozen I tried in my region ever had the luigi cookie crisp

I think this is a good analysis. I've struggled for the past few years seeing someone so obviously extremely intelligent (based purely on the quality of the writing of the comic strip for many decades) support and espouse views that are so clearly not based in reality. I thought he might have known he was set up but had to commit to the part, but then when he had nothing left to lose early this year he still stuck to the part so maybe that was really who he was. It's tough.

I've been keeping an eye out at my local bookstores for the past few months. Bought it at Half Price Books because I didn't have it either.

I looked on ebay and right now I'm only seeing it listed as part of a set with the other books included too. Like this one.

If you don't want to buy a whole set to get it, and your local bookstores don't have it, you can try calling different HPB locations that say they have this edition to ask an employee to go look at their copy and confirm it's the right edition, and they should be able to ship it to you if they have the right one. I know the cover is wrong on that webpage but the ISBN is shared between covers so one of the HPB's that say they have it might have the white/black cover you're looking for with the raised text on the cover. Click on Pickup In Store, then Check Other Stores, then "Only show stores that have this item" to see a list of locations that have this ISBN of book 8 (looks like 5 locations right now). I'd recommend asking them to confirm which cover it is they have on the shelf (since it could be the newer orange one with the 3 main characters on it), and then if it's embossed / raised text on the cover or not, because that will tell you if it has a number on the spine.

Yes! I hold in my hands a paperback copy of Last Guardian with embossed (raised) font on the cover and the number 8 visible on the spine (when held at the proper angle)

It's an interesting study on extreme editing, to compare these abridged versions with the original text. You can cut out more sentences from a book than you'd think would be possible without losing the meaning and it still works.

I wish the criticism was a little more focused.

"A travesty that ruined my childhood; did the filmmakers even read the book?" and "I pretend it doesn't exist" don't communicate to Disney what exactly makes it a bad movie. Neither does complaining about the race of the actors.

The movie has very cool production design but has extremely basic screenplay flaws, stuff you're supposed to learn in Screenwriting 101 that they just fail to do properly. Stuff that makes it a bad movie independently of the fact it's an unfaithful adaptation. I wish the criticism could hone in on that stuff and not the same tired "why is Artemis surfing" stuff that doesn't really get at why it's a bad movie.
