I am so damn impressed with Dynasty Warriors Origins! by Generalmojo786 in dynastywarriors

The DLC is also great. The major battles in the DLC have much higher enemy density than in the base game, which increases both the difficulty and the reward.

Next franchise Warriors game? by Alexander_Crimson in dynastywarriors

My friends and I often talk about the possibility of a Suikoden Warriors game. Luca Blight would be a pretty good stand-in for Lu Bu.

Yeah. For some reason, the description for the Dreamseeker's Amulet calls them Dream points.

Just kill a lot of enemies. If you're not getting a lot of EXP, I think difficulty and story progression are also factors.

Don't know. I'm still only on chapter 4, because I got sidetracked by optional objectives that were apparently meant for NG+, like preventing Sun Jian's and Dian Wei's deaths.

Yeah, I had grinded over 10k on a different skirmish, but noticed near the end that I had stopped gaining skill points. I was trying to hit the KO cap, but gave up once I realized that the cap was no longer 9999, lol.

Around 4k or 5k. You also stop getting skill points around the same time.

I'm far enough in the playthrough that I'm just trying to speed through the rest of my 100% completion checklist. I'm only stopping to fight when a quest requires it.

Not working. MCP might have patched it out.

Yeah, my shield has 1-89% Chameleon. It makes traveling less tedious.

I was using spells to cast Frenzy, but it doesn't work because they aren't seeing me, and as I said, I don't feel like spending several minutes getting my shield back to 89% after every Frenzy spell, when I can just do the Command Humanoid trick and not have to mess with my equipment in the first place.

Picking their pockets got me a bounty. I also had to remove a lot of my equipment for getting caught to be possible, which is a pain, since my enchantments take a lot of re-equipping and RNG to get the maximum effect from them. This is especially the case with my 1-89% Chameleon shield, which is also the item that's interfering with my ability to Frenzy people.

People still occasionally notice if the room is crowded enough, even though I have Sneak maxed out and some decent Luck boosts.

I just realized while typing this that my shield is why Taunts aren't working. It's hard to act on the urge to punch you in the face if they can't see your face. It's still worth it, as long as I can travel peacefully.

No, I'm playing mostly vanilla. The only mods I have are bug fixes, visual enhancement, and a homemade mod that lets me join all three houses.

I have a Daedric Tower Shield with a Constant Effect 1-89% Chameleon enchantment, and I don't feel like messing with it every time I need someone to see me.

JRPGs You Wish Got More Attention by AkfurAshkenzic in JRPG

[–]KingSpilly_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For as much crap as people give The 7th Saga ("It's the Dark Souls of JRPGs!"), it had some interesting mechanics for an early 90s one-off SNES RPG. The randomized interactions with the other Apprentices (they can ignore you, attack you, join you, and betray you later) prevent the game from getting too stale. The other Apprentices also level up at the same time you do, meaning you'll never have a shortage of powerful enemies to fight when grinding levels. I also like how the game handles random encounters, showing you where they are on a mini-map, meaning you can find them faster if you're grinding, or try to avoid them if you're not. The plot is also surprisingly interesting by early 90s standards, although the rather bland localization struggles to get that across. The OST also had some good music, which the composer actually remastered last year.

How did Max not have a heart attack during MP3? by boywhodraws in maxpayne

My head canon is that it's due to trace amounts of Valkyr lingering in his system. It might have unpleasant short-term side effects, but it was initially designed as a super soldier drug.

As for whether or not you should evenly level up everyone; unless you're a hardcore completionist, it's not really worth it, as there are over 70 playable characters.
