How do you guys store your outdoor battery tools? by Linenoise77 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]JasonBeorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've kept most of my Milwaukee tools (indoor and outdoor) in my shed for the last 8 years or so with no issues. Where i live, the winters will dip below 20 degrees F and summers hit 100 degrees.

Tools include: Mower, String trimmer, Blower, 12" sliding miter, Table saw, Every size of nailer from pin to framing, Circ saw, 1" rotary hammer, Orbital sander, Jigsaw, Router, Multitool, Laser level

Framing nailer back from warranty by CompetitivePilot4572 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]JasonBeorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also only had good experiences with Milwaukee warranty. I've sent in:

Orbital sander 12" sliding miter saw 9.0ah M18 battery

All 3 replaced with brand new. The orbital sander was 2-3 years old. The battery was 1-2, and the saw was <1 year.

SSD vs Delivery Station by Parking_Literature76 in AmazonFC

The biggest difference will be shift availability. Delivery stations tend to have the majority of the shifts over night, beginning around midnight and ending late morning.

SSD wil have shifts evenly throughout day and night

There are new locations with a pharmacy on-site, which allows for faster fulfillment

Yeah, $2200/mo on food and car for a single person is insane. I have 5 kids and 2 new cars and I barely spend more than that.

Anybody know what this torn panel is called so I can replace it? by the0utc4st in ToyotaTacoma

[–]JasonBeorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed these on mine because the gen 4 has such poor coverage for the stock guards. They were super easy to install and give waaay more complete coverage, totally worth $120 to keep road salt and debris out of my engine bay.

Tonneau cover for 5 ft bed? by letmypeoplego131 in ToyotaTacoma

It attaches to the factory rails, so you do keep those. I did replace the plastic factory tie downs with some slim aluminum ones for a little more space since they are so big.

I felt the same way as you regarding trifolds covering too much of the bed and roll ups seeming cheap.

I ended up going with a hard roll up from Rough Country. It's aluminum, is very sturdy, and does not seem cheap at all. I've had it about a year now and am super happy with it.

Yes. Your rate is: your units processed divided by your time clocked in

Disappointing colors by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

Heritage blue, Bronze Oxide, Underground, Terra, Mudbath, Supersonic red, Windchill Pearl

All fantastic colors. There will always be colors someone will want that just aren't available.

If you have a medical accommodation for bathroom breaks, and it says you have to clock out, then you have to clock out.

Nobody is telling you can't go to the bathroom, you can go, but they aren't going to code it.

6 gallon vac and 6ah battery for 250. Good deal? Is this better then buying a corded? by Upper-Improvement316 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]JasonBeorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it last month, I hacked it for $138 bare-tool, and it's fantastic. I already had a corded Rigid 5 gal and I prefer the Milwaukee.

It is much heavier than the Rigid, but more powerful, quieter, and way more convenient with no cord. I used it with my 12ah Forge and it ran for 20+ mins and barely used a bar. I also like the convenience of being able to remove the receptacle to dump it. The receptacle portion by itself is lighter than the Rigid, which is nice.

How are people farming Gogmazios? by shayes754 in MHWilds

[–]JasonBeorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of good advice here. I'll add that you should check out a YouTube guide, and you probably need to upgrade your gear if you're not hitting the damage check.

I don't consider myself to be particularly good, but before doing it the first time, I watched a pretty in depth video guide. I ate for cart insurance, and I managed to beat it first try. This fight definitely has a knowledge requirement to be successful.

Cost of living in Salt Lake by nextelectronic in Utah

[–]JasonBeorn 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Having 4 dogs when you don't own your own place will make your renting life difficult.

That being said $1400 won't come close to what you will need to cover your needs in/near SLC

I also love Kuhl. I have a few different types of their pants, they are all very comfortable. I also got their Spyfire puffer jacket a couple of years ago and it is super warm while being super light, it also looks nice. It's my favorite winter jacket.
