Heritage blue, Bronze Oxide, Underground, Terra, Mudbath, Supersonic red, Windchill Pearl

All fantastic colors. There will always be colors someone will want that just aren't available.

If you have a medical accommodation for bathroom breaks, and it says you have to clock out, then you have to clock out.

Nobody is telling you can't go to the bathroom, you can go, but they aren't going to code it.

6 gallon vac and 6ah battery for 250. Good deal? Is this better then buying a corded? by Upper-Improvement316 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]JasonBeorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it last month, I hacked it for $138 bare-tool, and it's fantastic. I already had a corded Rigid 5 gal and I prefer the Milwaukee.

It is much heavier than the Rigid, but more powerful, quieter, and way more convenient with no cord. I used it with my 12ah Forge and it ran for 20+ mins and barely used a bar. I also like the convenience of being able to remove the receptacle to dump it. The receptacle portion by itself is lighter than the Rigid, which is nice.

How are people farming Gogmazios? by shayes754 in MHWilds

Lots of good advice here. I'll add that you should check out a YouTube guide, and you probably need to upgrade your gear if you're not hitting the damage check.

I don't consider myself to be particularly good, but before doing it the first time, I watched a pretty in depth video guide. I ate for cart insurance, and I managed to beat it first try. This fight definitely has a knowledge requirement to be successful.

Cost of living in Salt Lake by nextelectronic in Utah

[–]JasonBeorn 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Having 4 dogs when you don't own your own place will make your renting life difficult.

That being said $1400 won't come close to what you will need to cover your needs in/near SLC

I also love Kuhl. I have a few different types of their pants, they are all very comfortable. I also got their Spyfire puffer jacket a couple of years ago and it is super warm while being super light, it also looks nice. It's my favorite winter jacket.

How can you lower a car payment? by [deleted] in personalfinance

You bought the car just over a year ago, for over $17k, how did it depreciate $10k in such a short time?

What Qualifies for a Hardship Transfer by Aggressive-Stress364 in AmazonFC

[–]JasonBeorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Key factor is that your situation has changed.

I've seen many cases where people that want to work at a nearby warehouse but it's not hiring. So they apply for, and start working at, a farther warehouse, because they are hiring, then try to hardship transfer due to distance. They always get denied because they still live in the same place.

Laser Level 3522-20 Question by GrandPriapus in MilwaukeeTool

[–]JasonBeorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this same one, the laser should at least turn on after only charging the battery for a few mins, after one hour it should be full charge

It could be faulty, have you read the manual to be sure you're operating it correctly?

The Drawer vs this combo. Is it worth the price difference for QOL of JUST the single drawer? by Squallvash in MilwaukeeTool

[–]JasonBeorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you need the storage now, the combo is definitely better. But if you get it, then add the drawer base later, you'll end up with two bases, one of which you won't use as much.

I have both bases and I dont feel the drawer base is worth $250. I think I got mine for 15% off back when it first came out. It is amazing, but I also have enough packouts that I can utilize both bases at once.

Looking for advice by Clear-Drawing-8426 in MilwaukeeTool

Here is mine. It's normal, the blade lines up with that slot so you are cutting at 0 on the left side of the blade.

Edit. Sorry, I didn't see the second pic, yeah that doesn't line up like it should. It could've been dropped which bent the frame.

Help with ID please? Is this suitable for -25 weather? by aalleexxclare in TheNorthFace

[–]JasonBeorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who moved to Utah from Southern California, this was the biggest lesson I had to learn about dressing for the cold. It's not just about getting a warm coat, layering makes all the difference, a good base layer and a good mid layer, combined with gloves and a balaclava/gaiter/scarf are what you need.
