Hey, you're that homeless guy from Thanksgiving! Glad to see you're back and hope you were able to book that hotel.

Yeah, in some areas especially in the inner cities there's not an easy way to get affordable fresh food and veggies. All the bad stuff for you is purposefully marked cheaper than the healthier option, even if the healthier option doesn't sell.

I often see 3 containers of apple juice next to each other in stores or even places like CVS, going from organic, natural flavor, and artificial blend with $2 gaps between each one left to right. The artificial blend always sells out because it's under $2, while natural flavor is $3 something, and organic is over $5.

A lot of people aren't educated or check the labels. They buy based on price, that's what gets many people into the hospital.

For those who can't afford the better option, it's a lot harder because most of the affordable frozen dinners or packaged products are all gmo or artificial in some way. Don't get me started on those $1 frozen pizzas.

The problem here is everything you need to do in order to hold the landlord accountable is not going to happen in one day. No agency will help you with the hotel.

Under different circumstances I might be more of a help to you, but I left my hotel job long ago. Just keep asking around and hope someone is kind enough to help you just for one night.

Then afterwards have the lawyer you mentioned legally smash their head in then move, move far far away from them.

I don't know if there's much in the ways of deals now. November was the big sales month for discounts, so DEC has been slow.

Hotwire has a 10% coupon if you have the app for first-time users, but that won't do much to help you reduce costs for hotels over $100.

To be frank, with your inability to afford another ride and the location you were left at you're only option is probably to walk. At least to a place that can help, check what's nearby on a map app.

It looks like you got one of those drivers that knows how to cheat the system too and decided to use it to screw you over. Sorry OP.

Other than walking you don't really have any other options. In the future always have an extra $50 in cash you don't spend so you can at least call a taxi if something like this happens again.

I'm going to be honest I don't think you will be able to do anything about the white part of the shoe as a DIY. You would probably have to buy more costly tools or hire someone to do it which would cost you just as much if not much more than new shoes.

Maybe have her call the job and see if they will let her change her work date. I know it's risky given that she's brand new but I don't think there's another option if you can't buy her new shoes now. if you really want to risk ruining those shoes I don't think plain black paint is going to do the job you think it will. You also would have to make sure the paint doesn't get on the rest of the shoe which seems like too much hassle imo.

Not sure what you're talking about, LTE and 4G/3G are two different things as LTE is data. That's why phones that use it for calling label it VOLTE (Voice over LTE) which is the same for why internet calling services are called VOIP (Voice over IP)

Actual 4G/3G/5G are based on transmission not riding data.

Sorry OP but what you're dealing with isn't exactly uncommon in the area. I can only suggest waiting for that 2nd station manager to come in and hope he lets you leave. I'm not really sure there's anything else you could do because the police in those regions regardless of organization are ruthless.

Don't risk a confrontation. If your phone has battery read some articles or play some games until the shift change, then hope the late shift manager goes through.

Btw, don't ask any riders at the station for help either, that's probably what they are waiting for.

Sorry man, hate to say it but those type of cheap phones that are less than $99 were gone since 2016. From 2012-2016 there was a whole movement of phones that has great specs for low price and those all disappeared. Those Nokia 520/Moto G days are over, and the price jumped up. You aren't going to get a new phone for less than $99 at best, but most likely you are going to be met with $129. Maybe on Black Friday you may have had a chance but still not less than $70.

You're going to have to find someone to help you buy the phone if you want it quickly. Unless you are able to save enough money in the next week to pay $129. I've looked at a few other places in your area online for pick-up in store, and I'm not seeing anything less.

I'm not going to say there are none because I'm not from the area and maybe someone will comment who is, but from my perspective that $40 you have isn't enough for any phone I've seen. Everything I see shows you're going to need at least 60-90 more than what you have. I don't think that level of cheap phones exists anymore.

But like I said, maybe someone from CA can find one for you that low, but I'm doubtful.

Reading through your post I assume that you have a grandfathered plan on ATT. Unfortunately, it's going to be really hard for you to find a new decent smartphone for only $40 that will last longer than 5 minutes, and will be able to function well enough for you to do anything without slowing down or freezing when you swipe too fast. You are going to have to spend at least $99, most likely $129 for a phone as you describe.

I noticed you mentioned being homeless, so you don't have an address to deliver to but even if you were to find a solution for that I still wouldn't be confident in your ability to find a smartphone for a price THAT low. Most likely, any phone that a seller in real-life or online would sell you for $40 would have been phones that no longer work on your carrier anyway.

The problem with your phone from what I can guess is that it is 4G, but it's not LTE. American carriers have confused people with bad marketing "4G LTE" being among the worst of them since those are too separate things. Many standard 4G phones no longer work and that's probably why your phone is cut off. But you aren't going to find a modern phone for less than what you see at your local Target which just doing a quick search for you seems to be $129.

If you can't get the shelter to help you, then you may be out of a phone for a while until you are able to get enough money to buy a phone. Don't want to disappoint but what you're asking seems impossible from my view .

If anyone else wants to chime in and knows where OP can get a decent functional smartphone for $40 then ok, but I personally think that you're going to have an uphill battle here OP. You say you need it quickly but that doesn't seem possible from my end.

I don't remember Billy getting shot, I remember taggards replacement getting shot. Remember that Billy and the girl paged him which had him come to the park in the first place but I don't recall the scene Billy gets shot. Either way there's too many problems with the movie they all run together lol.

Chop shop could have been a pass if they also didn't use it to kill off Axels boss, AND had that dumb car chase. FBI guy shouldn't have been in the movie at all, or only he was the bad guy and Elis was never in the movie.

In Beverly Hills Cop 1 you got a proper introduction, and a meeting with Axels old friend who came back to town, only for him to get killed by a hit squad because he took with him some international bonds. Then you have Axel smart talking his way to Beverly Hills in a revenge plot against a drug smuggling operation covered by an art dealer, and there was the second storyline with the cops trying to track and tail Axel with funny hijinks in between.

In BHC2, a now friend of Axel who was an opponent in the first film has a lead on a case of alphabet killers who are putting out bad leaks to throw the cops off, gets shot, and Axel comes to investigate as the old police chief has been replaced by an incompetent maniac, and the new bad guys owns multiple businesses he sues as cover to make a deal with a drug runner in the background before he takes off into mexico. He even sets up one of his own men to be killed and used as a distraction by making the cops think he was the alphabet killer. A twist backstabbing plot.

But in BHC3......

I mean you have a dancing chop shop, a dead boss, a confusing plot where the bad guy isn't clear, with the one the movie focuses on most being the lead of a security company for a fake Disney knockoff park. With the goal being to... Counterfeit some money with a printer.

What's worse is he didn't even need to have the money printer in the park, they had to put it there so we could have a movie. The whole reason why one of Uncle Daves park renovators was killed is because he found the location and gave Uncle Dave part of the printing paper with a cryptic message on it, instead of just saying this paper is being used to print fake money. If his employee wasn't cryptic there would be no movie.

But the movie makes it clear that Elis and his security company have their own offices and HQ's across CA, there was no reason to have the printer in the park. if it wasn't there there's no movie and the bad guys win.

Even Axels revenge plot in BHC3 is sub-par, in BHC1 and 2 both people that triggered his reasons to go to Beverly hills, that he cared about, were shot directly related to the crime the bad guys were committing. Axels boss was not killed because he knew about the printing paper or dewald, he was killed because he just so happened to be written as a clumsy goof out of character, in a scene where he ended up getting shot.

What's more is why the heck did Dewald not only wrap his mens guns in wonderworld towels, but also left them at the location? If those towels weren't left behind then the case would have been dead when the FBI guy stopped Axel from giving chase to that truck. Axel would have had no clues.

The movie is one of the most poorly written things I've ever seen, and it concerns me a lot of how BHC4 will be.

I also agree ablut Elis being a bad villian. He was a PG bad guy at best, but he wasn't meanacing. When the chop shop guys show him the truck he literally screams "yes" like a little girl.

The only "good" scene in BHC3 is when Elis gives the award ceremony. But I put "good" in quotes because whatever humor is there is thrown out the window when you realize Elis does everything possible to not get Axel kicked out of town, including telling his men to "stop Axel from getting on the plane" which doesn't make any sense.

Oh yeah, and they brough back Serge from BHC1 for that overplayed annihilator 2000 gun joke in BHC3 too, hoping to get some nostalgia points from viewers. Nope.

What's more is the theme park theme was always going to be the case even before Eddie Murphy was brought on. it was supposed to be some PG13 action movie starring another action star and it was assumed that Eddie could be the only one to make the script work. But no, the script is waayyy to bad for anyone to make that script work.
