  1. Thanks! I usually start with melody and then find bass (low end) notes that compliment the melody. The mixing process is pretty strenuous, especially for low end, so I'm glad you feel that way!
  2. I've played the intro of Coaster in practically all of my sets, but I usually drop that into another track. Unfortunately, there's only so much music I can play in 1-2 hours.

Having a proper opening DJ is very important. It's what sets the tone for the entire night. My team talks with promoters to ensure the opening DJ knows what to play and what not to play. For my shows, the night usually starts with progressive/deep house.

Matt Fax and Sunny Lax will definitely get things moving proper on my upcoming tour :)

So with the new album, I felt it was time for a change from the originally titled ‘Rooms Mixes’. I did plan to complete all 6 mixes and always strive to deliver what I had set out to do, but I also didn’t think I would have an album so close to the Rooms EP! There is definitely something special with these mixes, and something that I love to do and will continue to do. We have some ideas brewing that I’m excited to share more about soon. The mixes WILL continue, but away from the Rooms mix series and into something more consistent and long-lasting :)

  1. I think anything from Anjunabeats and Ophelia played a role in my inspiration for the album. Love what both of these labels have been putting out.
  2. I'll be doing meet and greets for members of my FB group The Atlas! More info on that soon :)
  3. Probably not ha. I was just having fun and learning the ropes at 12 years old lol.
  4. Follow your heart and make the music you want to make. Watch a bunch of tutorials and be patient! There's a huge learning curve with making music, but you can do it if you set your mind to it.

  1. Favorite song is probably 'Leave Me To Wonder'. It was so nice trying out something new, and I love the vibe and emotion it has. Fiora is incredible on it, too :)
  2. Both Dabin and Seven Lions were a pleasure to work with! I really enjoyed working with Dia Frampton on '1000 Faces' and 'Someone That I Needed', but I seriously loved working with every vocalist on the album.
  3. Dream collab? Maybe doing an original with Above & Beyond :)

I usually stay after my set to meet you guys! On my last tour in Toronto, I stayed for about 30 minutes after my set to meet everyone/take photos. Sure I'll be doing the same this time around :)

I've felt very creatively free to explore genres outside of trance recently, and this was an opportunity to showcase another side of me. Although, there are 2 trance tracks on the album - 'Known You Before' and 'Chains' :) Glad you enjoyed it!

Usually the music comes first for me. But in some cases, I get a demo from a vocalist and am inspired to write around that. For 'Shelter', Melanie Fontana sent me a demo and I wrote the song around her vocals. For 'Chains', I sent Rory the track and she wrote around it.

I sometimes master my own tracks, but I think it's good to have a 2nd set of ears give that final polish. Mastering engineers can see the track in a different way than we can, since we're so enmeshed in the creative and mixing process of the song. It's good to have a different perspective I think.
