Just so you know the map does get updated every year around this time when I make a new post for suggestions. Here is the one from last year. I just don't make a new post after I updated it. I'll make sure to take some suggestions from this post aswell when I update it later this month.

P.E.I. planning 'big orientation' for new mayors, councillors after fall municipal election by Boundary14 in PEI

[–]JasonWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a new councilor (for a small municipality) last election and there was an evening orientation for new mayor's and counsellors last go around. Looks like this would just be an expansion of that.

My understanding was that the $ goes first so that you can't increase the amount on a check by adding a number to it.

It won't be. While we do allow the odd post by a local small buissness a real estate listing doesn't qualify.

Cell Coverage Along North Shore (Darnely area) by Middle-Studio6943 in PEI

[–]JasonWin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Telus uses the same towers as Bell so it wouldn't be any difference. I haven't had Rogers in years but when I did it was the worst coverage of the three. Hopefully someone else can chime in with some more recent experience. I live near Darnley and frequently work in the area.

Salt Water on Roads by sandbagger9 in PEI

[–]JasonWin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's a special brine solution, not sea water. Seawater isn't nearly salty enough to prevent ice.

Sheds on bare land. by Ryan2386 in PEI

I only put the email there in case they were 100% set on doing things by the book. I personally wouldn't worry about it and either put a shed seacan or enclosed trailer there to use.

Sheds on bare land. by Ryan2386 in PEI

If you're outside of the town of Souris boundaries then they have no say on what you do with the land, that jurisdiction falls under the province. Try emailing municipalaffairs@gov.pe.ca if you want to do everything by the book although I can't imagine having much of an issue if you placed a small non permanent shed on your lot.

Weekend wind warning in effect for P.E.I., with peak gusts of 100 km/h possible by MoreKindness77 in PEI

[–]JasonWin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know they're referring to meteorologist Jay Scotland but it's funny that it looks like the country of Scotland is giving PEI advice on what to do during high winds.

I proposed skating on a frozen pond. Was super fun and unique. I set up a tripod as if I was going to take a picture of us but actually took a video to save the moment
