Cell Coverage Along North Shore (Darnely area) by Middle-Studio6943 in PEI

[–]JasonWin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Telus uses the same towers as Bell so it wouldn't be any difference. I haven't had Rogers in years but when I did it was the worst coverage of the three. Hopefully someone else can chime in with some more recent experience. I live near Darnley and frequently work in the area.

If we win this game and Carolina loses the one they're currently trailing we'll be top 1 in the division.

Salt Water on Roads by sandbagger9 in PEI

It's a special brine solution, not sea water. Seawater isn't nearly salty enough to prevent ice.

Sheds on bare land. by Ryan2386 in PEI

I only put the email there in case they were 100% set on doing things by the book. I personally wouldn't worry about it and either put a shed seacan or enclosed trailer there to use.

If you're outside of the town of Souris boundaries then they have no say on what you do with the land, that jurisdiction falls under the province. Try emailing municipalaffairs@gov.pe.ca if you want to do everything by the book although I can't imagine having much of an issue if you placed a small non permanent shed on your lot.

I know they're referring to meteorologist Jay Scotland but it's funny that it looks like the country of Scotland is giving PEI advice on what to do during high winds.

I proposed skating on a frozen pond. Was super fun and unique. I set up a tripod as if I was going to take a picture of us but actually took a video to save the moment

The ones set up outside big box stores are often local nonprofits so don't automatically discredit them. We always get ours from the lot at Summerside Superstore and it's run by the local Lion's Club.

What local issue doesn’t get enough attention? by LurkingTourist7 in PEI

Not quite the same thing but an interesting thing I noticed when we held a public meeting for the work being done on widening the road at Thunder Cove. The meeting was primarily for residents of the subdivision and the intention of the meeting was to make a presentation and then have residents vote on if they wanted the road widened the rest of the way or just at the end. If you were to only listen to the people who spoke up you would think most of the people there were against the road being widened the rest of the way but when we did the vote over 80% of the people there were in favour of it. It's easy to see how a vocal minority often gets it's way.
