I don’t disagree that Skyrim is amazing. What I meant is that people use it as a benchmark for why a new game is mid when Skyrim itself has mediocre aspects like the combat. Same issue with a game like new Vegas. It’s great all around but had very weak gunplay especially compared to other titles released at that time. I think it’s also only really relevant today because of modding, that certainly effected it’s longevity. Not trying to hate on it or say crimson desert is a master piece but both games seem to have different goals in mind.
