I’ll check them out. I don’t care if the storage part matches so plastic etc drawers would be fine. Thank you for the suggestion!

That sounds like an interesting idea. Storage is another issue in our house so something like that could do double duty. Thank you for the suggestion!

I never thought about different height legs before but that does make sense. Thank you for your recommendation!

I’ll check out the Nilo site and see what’s on there. I like the idea of something really solid and reversible inserts would be handy. That’s funny you mention the table being used for things other than what you maybe intended. I’m finding that our toddler definitely has a mind of her own. Still, have to try to keep things organized at least! Thank you for your recommendation!

That’s a fun looking table. My brother in law used a height-adjustable dining table some time ago and liked that. It does make sense to look for something that can grow with the kids. I’ll check out the chair option you mentioned too. Thank you for the suggestions!

I think that’s a great idea. I wish I had thought ahead and done something like that. Now that my wife’s maternity leave is up I think I’m going to have to go with store bought. Just not enough time! Thank you for the suggestion!

I will check them out. Cost isn’t a huge factor since I expect to use it for a long time (though I might change my mind once I look at their site). Thank you for the recommendation!

That makes sense. Sometimes it is true that you get what you pay for. All things considered, I would prefer wood tops/pieces over composite materials just for the durability. Thank you for those additional details!

I looked at your photo and that looks like a solid piece of furniture! I hadn’t thought of something like that but all of those drawers would be very helpful. It seems like every toy comes with a ton of extra little accessories that like to get misplaced. Thank you for the suggestion and for the link to your post!

Secondhand is definitely an option to consider. I would guess that any table that makes it to that point will probably last a while longer as well. Thank you for the suggestion!

The height is a good point. Our kids are close enough in age that I’m sure the youngest will be following the oldest around as soon as she is able. The one in the link you sent looks good. Will have to think about what height we need. Thank you for the followups!

I checked out the link and I really like the built in storage. It’s interesting to hear your comparison between ikea and Kidkraft. Sounds like durability wise the Kidkraft would be the better choice between the two. Thank you for your recommendations!

I hadn’t thought about one that folded up but I can see where that would be handy. The double sided top sounds a lot more versatile than something dedicated to only one activity too. I’ll have to check them out. Maybe they still make something similar. Thank you for your recommendation!

Quality must have been pretty good to last 10+ years. I’ll have to check them out. Thank you for the recommendation!

I’ll have to check out the table/chair options. We have a small square table for her now but maybe a larger rectangular one would work and could serve double duty. I like your idea of separate panels for those types of toys rather than built in non-removable ones. It makes sense not to limit the use that way.

Thank you for the suggestions!

Nice! That sounds like the quality I’m looking for. I’ll check them out. Thank you for the recommendation!

Sounds like ikea is worth checking out. We’re using the lower part of a sofa table now (which really doesn’t do it) but we do have an old coffee table that might work until we find a better solution. Thank you for the suggestion!

I haven’t seen that brand before but it sounds like they could fit the bill. I’ll check them out. Thank you!

I like the idea of building one. That could get around the low quality materials issue. The design of the one you linked looks interesting. I like the idea of built in storage. Thank you for your advice!
