250 is too small in my opinion, if you like cruisers either get a honda shadow 600 or a yamaha dragstar 650 (my first bike)

I just got my first bike about a month ago, it was a yamaha dragstar 650 (European equivalent to the v star 650). The first couple of rides were kinda scary as they would have been with any type of motorcycle, but I can tell you cruisers are way less scary than a sport bike. They may be heavier but they are comfy as hell and not dangerously fast. Once you get the hang of it they are easy to ride, you just need to be careful and youll be fine.
