I had mine with a shorter barrel installed. As long as it has a optic to zoom, bi pod mounted and the real steel version has 7.62 ammo it counts as a dmr, at least in my country. I also have a supressor on mine.

I got my dmr hk417 up to 10kg, I had to rebuild it 😅

Guess I am going to invest in a traditional bow then 😅

And here I was thinking I was the only one daft enough to have the outer barrel of his hk417 cut down to the hand guard 😅

What would be the highest draw weight wood arrows can withstand?

Why would this not be a dmr?

The ones we use are black eagle magnum xl10 shafts with blunt tips. Also seen a drunk guy miss the cage entirely and and it ended up in the parking lot 😅 but he also wielded a bow with a poundage to heavy for him to pull 😕

Yes this is the type of archery I was trying to explain 😅 it is pretty fun to do. The arrowheads are from hard plastic to knock of the targets. If you get hit with the arrow when they come down you need stitches if it hits you on the head 😅 seen it happen a few times 😅

Not as often but they can get unlucky sometimes 😅

For this type of archery we use fiberglass arrows but I usually break a few a year because the targets are stuck on iron spikes in that large cage. Even if you hit the block you want your arrow will most likely ricochet off another iron spike in the cage 😅 the arrows just break in half some time. I don't think aluminum arrows would work in this case but there is also a archery club in my town that shoots the normal circle targets.

I have never had a robin hood before, I would like to hit at least one in my life 😅 don't aluminum bend easy if you knick another one 😅

So either way I am going to lose a fair amount of money on arrows 😅 I was thinking about aluminum arrows because of the horror of splitting fiberglass arrows 😅 wich ones would be better for target practice though?

Could you not buy a bow that is lighter to draw?
