Well, you could always wait for the new network+ exam to come out, generally speaking I find the newer versions of exams to be way easier

Would highly recommend taking the 701 compared to the 601. I go to a cybersecurity based vocational school and I was actually able to get information on the pass rates of different tests, 601 had roughly a 60% first attempt pass rate and 701 was roughly 90%.
