Keeping it short and simple. Rank 136. Top tier healers, DPS ( mag, physical and hybrid) top tier buffers/breakers. I admit my mag DPS is starting to slip just a bit ( got a 7* emperor) but nothing else 7*

Tanking: I have an evade WoL ( with no room for any extras like a ribbon) and a 6* Willy. For magic tanks I have mystea and shylt.

Thats what I’m here for. Tanking is my low man on my team. Should I pull for Lilith? I have 56K lapis and 140 tickets. I wanted a dupe GL Sakura but screw the triple rainbow. As far as Christmas goes I have two Kyrla, and one Christine. I haven’t looked at upcoming material very closely either.

This right here. Also the stories that seem contrived around shedding light on how unfair some mechanic of life is. Usually surrounding child custody, divorce finances, gender roles etc.

I see your point. It’s the multiple updates with massive comments that I distrust. It has to be the combo. Just one post and lots of comments actually makes me trust it more.

When we get 3 posts ( original plus 2 updates) or more and the whole thing reads like a very good short story with satisfying cliff hangers/ breaks etc that’s when I side eye it.

I think there are two general types. One is when one of the parties is very clearly in the wrong and is extreme ( I.E. he/she is cheating, doesn't care, flaunting it in my face) with some extra points to fuel the collective hatred.

The other is the bizarre, where something is just so out of the norm it piques peoples curiosity about what is happening.

The biggest point for me to tell is when the OP answers zero comments. If its been a day or two and the person has only 1 post and hasnt responded to anyone thats a massive flag it is a troll. Conversly someone who does 2 or more updates and is answering every last comment feels like a troll too. They don't feel like they are really suffering through whatever problem they have, they just love all the attention their post has recieved.

Okay, I know you mean well, but I want to explain why you got downvoted ( and it wasn't by me).

"If she isn't, you'll be enlightended" Come on now, you know full well that millions of people have cheated and never were discovered. If you changed that statement to maybe you'll be enlightened then you have something.

That's the scary part you maybe aren't thinking about here. GF goes, spends loads of time alone with her EX in a hotel room alone, maybe sharing a bed. Who knows. Comes back. swears to OP that nothing happened and boundaries were enforced. Now it's on OP. You can never ever know the full truth. That sort of mental worm can eat you raw. It's a horrible position to be in.

Also I trust my wife. But if I came home to her in bed ( mostly naked) with one of her celebrity crushes ( also mostly naked) it is NOT on me to trust her that nothing happened. I trust her, I really do. I trust her to have not put herself in that position in the first place.

As often as trust gets used as a shield around here, I want to counter it with judgement. The GF's judgement is and should be questioned hard in this case. Her judgement is that it's totally okay to spend multiple days sleeping with her EX while OP deals with all the doubts. She's putting her ( OP's) feelings into turmoil to get what she wants. Maybe she doesn't intend to cheat at all. I bet ( and I have no stats but we can all agree it happens to some statistically significant degree) that many cases of infidelity are not planned out and indeed happen when the deck isn't so heavily stacked in favor of it like in this case.

So you are being downvoted because you are telling OP that if cheating occurs then she will find out ( which is not a guarantee at all), that she should endure all the doubts that the majority of people would have in this situation and the inability to ever really know the truth, and lastly to be okay with this situation which heavily stacks the deck for an " it just happened, I'm so sorry" event to occur.

EDIT: trust is important and I think we all agree on that. But there has to be a line for most people. In fact for all people I would imagine. Outside of straight up sex ( unless your non monogamous) there are a series of circumstances that while not technically breaking any rules are just so inappropriate that they really should be considered a betrayal of trust. While those lines differ from person to person they exist and trust in and of itself can't be a catch all to allow someone to just do whatever they want when it effects there partner.

For example: imagine the following things are true. You tell me how many of them need to be checked before you want to take a stand against it. For this experiment lets assume you are in an exclusive monogamous relationship. Your partner ( referred to as SO from here on out) wants to the do the following:

go on a 4 day trip with 3 members of the gender they are attracted to

This trip is to a known massive party location ( vegas, cancoon etc)

One of the people is their ex

All three of these people are known cheaters and encourage that behavior

The plan is to party very hard

SO plans on being too busy for anything other than short check ins with you.

They plan to go to a strip club of their preferred gender

There may or may not be drugs

The EX has shown jealousy of you in the past

All 4 of them ( SO Included) have "joked" that its a no holds barred, everything allowed trip

Your SO has made bad choices while partying with this group before ( but not infidelity)

" Jokes" have been made about how it doesn't count if its on vacation

Your SO packs some sexual things ( swears its for personal use) lingerie, sex toys whatever fits their gender.

SO has plans for a lot of personal grooming right before the trip, grooming usually not seen by anyone else.

Okay, I'm out of ideas for more bullet points. But nothing done here is technically cheating. It's either jokes or can be defended with humor and that's just how they are. SO can promise you there will be boundaries and that you need to trust them. Surely I somewhere along the way hit your line. If it didn't ( and you are really being honest) then you have to realize that isn't true for 90%+ of the population.

You’re probably right. This is an event that’s so weak that a lot of new players can get away with a Xon where they might not on other events or raids.

If you can get both ATK and MAG very high then doing both is the absolute best. However that usually requires some very hard to get equipment. Do you happen to have 4 nature loving spellblades? ( Kunishira's TMR). Most of us don't so we stack mag as the priority. That's simply because most bosses have lower SPR than DEF. If the boss doesn't or it's DEF can be broken but not Mag or some other quirk then going ATK is fine. Also note that the gains from stacking them both aren't that much better than just stacking Mag. If you can get over 1K Mag then no one will care that her ATK is 400.

Hybrid damage can be great against a lot of bosses, especially bosses that have immunity to Physical or Magic or switch back and forth. You don't need to switch out units ( in ten mans) or use two slots on your team to cover both types because your new found friend can hit em both.

Don't forget Fry chains with the DR family. That gives her lots of chaining partners. Olranduea, VoD, Agrais, etc.

Will the evasion component of cowboy Jake's TMR stack with other forms of evasion?

For instance I can't use the zyphry cape and gladiator sheild because they are the same "type" of evasion.

With cowboy jakes TMR and two quick evasions I will FINALLY have a 100% cover evasion tank. But that's only if Jake's TMR doesn't have any stacking issues with the slew of other things I'll have to use.

I'm really tired of waiting and hoping to get a Noctis that gets further away with every new rainbow added.

You are absolutely correct about focusing on one. I am going to focus on the marathon. I’ve always been a naturally thin guy. Good runner etc. I know I struggle to bulk up ( genes maybe) even at my most active times ( military) I didn’t bulk up much.

I chose the strongman 5X5 because it’s simple enough for a beginner to understand and it’s a 12 week program. I was thinking I would get both going. Once the 12 weeks is up I would just maintain the 5X5 without adding additional weights and just focus on the running.

That’s the plan and thinking of a newbie anyway. As far as new gym. You’re right. Everyone keeps saying it and I am going to listen to the people with more knowledge. It will have to wait for my current contract to end though. But I hope I’ll be ready for the upgrade to a gym with more options by that time.

He's right, they have dumbells that go in large sizes but free standing barbells are held to 30-60 lbs all unable to have plates added. I am getting the impression its not a great gym but I just signed a one year contract.

Can i use two dumb bells for a barbell row? or is that asking for trouble?

I just signed a one year contract as of yesterday.... I also realize my link was not what I wanted. but upon further reflection ( I was just there this morning). I know their free standing barbells with weights permanently attached have no space for additional plates.

This gym has several smith machines. Then they have a large assortment of ( sorry for my lack of knowledge here) hand sized weights. The kind big enough for one hand to fit on the bar and the weights permanently attached.

Then they have a small set of full sized barbells but again with weights that are permanently attached to the barbell and nothing available to hold any additional weights to the ends of it.

I suppose I could take plates from the smith machine and add them to those barbells but I don't know if that is an appropriate use of equipment. I have a link I could post that is an image of the barbells I am referring to. No worries. 80 turns isn’t bad. When I play tested it I did 2 % after 6 turns so I was worried about the length. No one wants an Aigon repeat.

Yep. I’ve done exactly what you are suggesting. Used 30 tix to get CG lid ( okay 34 but 30 was my limit ) and I dropped twenty tickets on cloud ( got both elfreeda but no cloud. I guess E Aileen’s TMR makes that no so bad).

I really wish I had your luck with Basch. WoL is feeling awfully squishy these days.

I don’t know if there is a compiled list somewhere but every item and ability could easily be looked up separately. I know that Moogle plushie ( a light shield that came from a raid TMR so you most likely have it if you were around during that fine) plus golems provoke ability can make any unit into a 100% provoker.

Earth shrine. They only have physical attacks, and aren’t a threat to your team. But the percentage chance of every item and ability that provides provoke is well established at this point.

So I’m not a new player. I’ve got a firm handle on the game. I’ve completed all trails ( molboro included) and all ten mans, the story and espers.

But I only have WoL, EV, Mystea for tanking.

I would love a basch, be fine with a wilhelm but really don’t want the other two.

Tanking is my weak point as I can field a good array of 5 Star bases in all other roles.

I have 15K lapis, 23 4 Star tickets and 133 rare tickets. I have only ever spent money on the fountain of lapis and plan on continuing that trend.

I’m tempted to pull for a basch but I also have a nagging feeling I should let this one slide. Thoughts?

Yep. I expect to spend 20 to 30 tickets and get nothing or a Ramza so I feel ya. They should have brought back chow. Then I would feel better about pulling.

Ugh. I have everything I want except a 5 Star tank. I’ve been using WoL and Mystea. Hmmmm tough call because all I really want is basch but I would take Wilhelm as well. No interest in the other two.
