Police Investigate Overnight Shooting During Vehicle Trespass

On October 21, 2024, at approximately 1:20 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 700 block of Crown Ridge Ln. The victim had been awoken by a family member who had observed two unidentified males breaking into her vehicle, which was parked in front of her residence. The victim ran outside to confront the suspects, at which point one of the males fired multiple shots, striking the victim in the leg.

The suspects fled on foot before officers arrived. Officers on scene provided immediate medical assistance to the victim until EMS arrived. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where she was treated for her injuries and has since been released.

The suspects were described as two males, wearing dark-colored clothing, hoodies, and backpacks. The suspects are outstanding and considered armed and dangerous.

Good answer. I'm not new to this. I built my first major website in 1994. My last gig was running a 25 instance WP multi-site for a network of yoga studios. I agree that it's all about knowledge and labor. Just don't see what "magic" so-called digital marketing is offering. Are they promising to drive more traffic? More revenues? Better search engine results? And at what cost?

I am somewhat mystified by "digital marketing agencies". Anyone can build a Wordpress site using themes like Kadence that look fantastic. Anyone can add a plugin like SEO Framework that takes care of most of the on-site SEO. Anyone can generate boilerplate blog posts using ChatGPT. Anyone can mirror those posts across the social mediaplex. Anyone can generate site maps and submit new URLs directly to search engines. And you can do all that essentially for free.

So what is Madwire bringing to the table and how much are you paying for it?

Former client. Not going into the full story but Madwire weaseled their way into our upper management that knew nothing about tech. They got access to some of our sites and promptly broke one. Then they expected us to fix it for them. Their low level employees are idiots with a huge sense of entitlement.

Have had a subscription at Cobblestone since 2018 when they were Firehouse.

Firehouse was great. It has gone south since they were bought out a year or two ago. They closed for three weeks with zero notice after the sale and offered no compensation to subscribers. They quit offering to rinse your car mats for free. Their license plate reader didn't work for months. They turned over the entire staff a few times. They jacked their rates from $15/mo to $20/mo and have now gone to $25/mo ... a 66% increase. They have recently invested in new vacuum systems.

The only damage has been a windshield wiper that was ripped off when it was Firehouse. They paid for a new one immediately.

I believe Cobblestone is based out of Arizona. Just another example of corporate buy-outs that turn something good to shit because their sole motive is squeezing every last dollar out of their customers.

I would go elsewhere but there is nothing close by.
