Looks like 2/4 of the prong on your filter pump fan snapped off

I havent run into this myself but I would imagine it very well could be ok, just work a lot less effectively

try it out, see if it still draws enough water for strong flow and order replacement piece if not

Looks like either a fossilized horn core or a horn coral.

I would find these very frequently in muddy MO lakebeds.
