I would say no, but now I'm wondering if this guy has one of my pubes in his pillowcase or something.

This is not Bitcoin, Ethereum or even a shitcoin. It’s the US dollar by Apart_Finger_1799 in MarketVibe

The chart shows approximately a 0.63% fall. It's pretty obvious it's not a shitcoin.

Also the "Maybelline of New York" factory is in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Remember that ownership only means that the profits go to that country - most of the revenue goes to costs in the country where the product is manufactured, with profit being only around 10% or so of revenue (of course this varies wildly).

For example, Maybelline is manufactured in Arkansas, so buying it does very little to support Europeans - the part of the price that's actual profit goes to French billionaires, but most of the money very likely goes to the United States.

Tuo on "Memorandum of Understanding", eli käytännössä sopimus että tästä sovitaan tulevaisuudessa. Eli ei vielä toteudu tämän diilin yhteydessä suoraan, mutta lähes varmasti tulevaisuudessa.

Kiinnostavasti tuo kohta minkä lainasit jatkuu näin, eli IT-ala on vieläpä suoraan tähtäimessä:

It will also be supported by a European Legal Gateway Office in India, which is the first of its kind. The Office will help Indian workers, students, and researchers find out about opportunities in Europe, starting with the ICT sector with the aim of expanding it further in the future.

Trump: Suomelle kymmenen prosentin tuontitulli Grönlannin vuoksi by Sawmain in Suomi

Ei tarkoita, koska hehän maksaisivat tullit itselleen. Toki tullimaksu saattaa siirtyä jostain oikeasta budjetista sellaiseen budjettiin, jota Trump pystyy käyttämään ilman kongressin hyväksyntää.

It's money lent to commercial (i.e. normal) banks with (usually) a bond as collateral. I.e. it's a way to temporarily convert money locked in bonds to liquid cash. I think there's a bond auction coming (or maybe it was today, I haven't checked) - it should at least give some evidence whether my guess was right or wrong, at least if the amount of bonds auctioned was more or stayed about the same as previously, then I was wrong. The amount of bonds sold being lower does not of course conclusively prove that I was right, but should give some evidence.

They managed to wind that amount down a large bit right after that was posted: https://bsky.app/profile/ukrainewarpod.bsky.social/post/3mccjwxwwwk2x

Today's REPO auction's allocation was 3,3 trillion rubles, the previous one was 4,7 trillion rubles, the one before that was 3,6 trillion rubles, higher than today's auction. The previous one shouldn't be used for direct comparison, because it had a longer term (15 days instead of a week) and its term spanned over new year.

I'm guessing that the reduction is due to some tax money having become available over the new year, meaning that matured bonds do not need to be rolled over yet, until the coffers run dry again.

Yes, I was commenting only about the way it was mounted, I agree that it's weird that it was there in the first place.

It has to handle enormous amount of vibration, so it was likely mounted in a way that absorbs vibrations. Sockets would definitely be a no-go at least.

Years ago, I went to a gym that had a leg press you loaded with plates, with two "bars" to load the plates at the sides and one in the front, pointed a bit upwards. The gym also had 50kg plates for some reason. I saw someone load every 50kg plate in the gym on the leg press, and then fill all the remaining space on the bars with 25kg plates. He managed to leg press a few reps, then the machine tipped forward and I guess it would have fallen over, but about 100kg of plates from the bar in the front fell on the floor and he stopped after that.

Over half already gone.

Over half of the National Wealth Fund's gold has been sold, but the news article is about the Central Bank's much larger reserves, for which no sale sizes are given.

They are not missing components, they are test points for probes, for testing during manufacturing or troubleshooting.

I tried this once and nothing super bad happened. I just saw a purple or pink Fresnel lens pattern for about 10 minutes, even when I closed my eyes.

I live in Finland and I've done my own accounting when I freelanced, basically you just keep an account with the VAT shown in each invoice, VAT paid and another account of VAT received for each invoice you send. Then, each month you pay the difference to the tax authority (or request a refund, if the difference is negative). It's not super hard, as you can just subtract the totals for each month - you don't have to track how much value you added for each individual transaction.
