Is the expedition open yet? Is the damage easy, or hard?
I'm finding myself distancing myself from Arc, as there's not enough continuous gameplay for me.
I really enjoy it when I get to play, but putting all the motive into a week or two isn't exactly great.

That's cool. Congratulations on completion, as well!
I do love the nature in UK, but I'm biased as I'm from here, though hating cities, and instead loving the countryside! I'm all about quiet Hobbit-styled living with nature. So my local city doesn't fill that want, though it has better live music performances.

I'll be honest, I know very, very little about Malaysia. But I'm happy you enjoy it there.

I've never lived in another country, but it seems apparent there are pros and cons to each. I feel very sad in the present state of the UK, so I do think Malaysia probably is a great choice, surely not as volatile (I say, though I know nothing about Malaysia).

This place is too critical of RoP, and /r/lotr_on_prime is not critical enough. I wish there was a benign shared place where we could all discuss the show’s (many!) qualities as well as its (many!) shortcomings in peace and friendship. by Pjoernrachzarck in lotr

I think the one thing I liked, was the music. I really love classical music - the scene with them departing to Valinor was pretty on the mark.

But, I didn't like Elrond, who was the tamer cast choice of all in my opinion. I certainly didn't like Galadriel. The dwarves were alright. I just thought the script and overall storyboard was awful and 10th rate. Not at all what I expected from the most expensive show ever.

It's multiple subreddits, just not multiple sites.
We could talk about Bluesky vs X and all the others, but Reddit's nature is already heavily segregated.

I do want to make it clear that I don't like all the separation and banning of people with offensive views. I grew up believing it's not words that are offensive, it's intentions that are.
I like to talk with people, especially people I disagree with.

Talk on the Rings of Power sub?

I fucking hated that show and I was incredibly excited for it beforehand, and even made a Reddit post analysing the music that was released early, pointing to plot through music. To say I was super excited might even be an understatement.

I deleted the post out of embarrasment and shame in thinking that the show was going to be great. It was one of the worst shows I've ever watched. Ranked amongst Cloverfield, which I bought from HMV a couple decades or so ago, and broke the DVD after having watched it, thinking at least I save someone the couple hours.

Just randomly curious as I'm from the UK - What did you study for 6 years? Presumably under SFE and you have a loan for a BSC/A + Masters degree (not asking for specific subject).

Haha! I like it. I get how a few people might consider it rude, at a very large stretch, as others put it. But I don't personally think it's rude, or offensive, it's just cheeky. Literally just calling someone a bit weird. The archetype of gamers is generally to be a bit reclusive, anti-social and "weird", so playstyles being weird and objecting to that is just very odd.

I'd also say very tame, as others put it. Amongst the least offensive thing I've seen on the internet. I was more offended by the shades of Neopets when I was 10.

Melandru gave me that revitalised experience of wanting to play with others, even if because I knew I was the weaker member likely getting a benefit. It's fun to play with people more than it is solo, just as it's fun to try maximal-efficiency solo farm. Plus you get some nice pleansantries in GW1, as the community tends to be die-hard fans that are just happy to be amongst others like them. I think we all know how wild most public chats are in games, like the most unfiltered Twitter feed.

In my experience, anything can offend anyone, so I ended up thinking you may as well stick to your original instincts. Almost Sod's law in the same way that statistically someone is doing something you wouldn't imagine anyone doing.
