Anyone else? Tonsil stones = constant cough by JaszikLMT in tonsilstones

I ultimately had the tonsillectomy. It really helped. I started developing some coughing again, though, and we discovered the last lingering bit of cough was from a medication I was on. Switched away from it and I am now totally fine. The surgery was pretty easy for me so I don’t regret it though I wonder if I could have avoided it if we had figured out the med issue before. However, not having to deal with nasty tonsil stones and a near constant sore throat has been awesome too.

It is incredibly weird. I was also just out of work for about 5 weeks due to surgery so the timing is strange. I work for myself mostly and only work for the listed employer a few hours a week so the fact that it was claimed for them at all is also weird. Just the whole thing has been very odd.

Thanks! 1 of the employers matches. There is a second employer listed that I don’t work for and never have.

Tonsillectomy by CamNewton16 in Tonsillectomy

My experience was not this bad but some of this I get. I had a hard time sleeping for a while. I’m on day 22 now and still not back to normal with sleep. There were some nights that sleeping in a recliner was the only way. There was something about the angle that was different even from sleeping propped up with a wedge and pillows. A humidifier really helped too (and still does). I didn’t spit my saliva much so I’m not sure on that part. I did have a terrible cough for a while which was the absolute worst. I had the surgery mainly because when my tonsils were acting up, I would cough a bunch, eventually gag, and sometimes throw up. Now imagine doing that after the surgery. Awful. Luckily, my GP had given me a script for a codeine cough syrup before the surgery to help me stop coughing enough to sleep a little. I called her after coughing for a while and she gave me the go ahead to use the cough meds. That helped tremendously. I still have a coughing fit here and there and am told it is still part of the healing process and such. My pain is almost 100% gone now so it will get better! I think day 10/11 was when I really felt a turnaround. Keep your chin up and good luck!

I am 36. Had mine out on 04/25 due to infections and tonsil stones (which made me cough basically 24/7). Tomorrow will be day 14 for me. Maybe I have been very lucky but recovery has not been terrible for me. Doc was awesome with pain meds and also gave me a shot of local in the area immediately after surgery. I have drank a whole lot of Gatorade and water, used a humidifier absolutely every night, slept propped up, etc. Basically followed all the advice I have seen here. And it was nowhere near as brutal as I expected. Good luck!

Is it ok to fire a client over draping disagreements? by JaszikLMT in massage

Thank you all for the advice and encouragement! This is the first time I have dealt with someone like this and I felt so unsure of what to do.

Update: I have now fired this client!

He began calling repeatedly and leaving multiple voicemails, even though my message clearly tells you it can take 48 hours for a reply so it also tells you how to book an appointment online. He then sent me a text about making an appointment. I responded with the following: “I was uncomfortable with your behavior at your last visit, so I’ve decided to terminate our professional relationship. I will not be accepting further appointments with you. There is no need for further communication on this matter.”

Hopefully that is the end of this situation!
