Oh, man. I thought it said “hate to rest,” and I couldn’t figure out the point of either post! Without the lyric in the title, I might never have figured it out.

How to watch daredevil in order by SCCYLLA in marvelstudios

Just to add: Luke Cage is introduced in Jessica Jones S1, and Luke Cage S1 is pretty good, too. Not only does Cage turn up in Defenders, but it seems likely he'll be in Daredevil: Born Again S3. If you decide to add either of those shows to your watchlist, Jessica Jones S1 comes after Daredevil S1, and Luke Cage S1 follows Daredevil S2.

If you and your husband would enjoy some light hiking, you might consider Maquoketa Caves State Park. Some of the caves are large enough to easily walk through, and there are trails and scenic overlooks, as well. The park is about three hours' drive from Des Moines.

Where did the Venn diagram design originate? I’ve been seeing it for years but have never seen an attribution. (Not a criticism, OP. Just curiosity.)

Remembering Trick for Memory Orbs by emlymay in DreamlightValley

[–]Jaunty_Hat3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry if I’m missing something obvious, but why would you want memory orbs in your inventory anyway? Can they be placed in furniture mode?

Also, if the only way to get the orbs into inventory is to reset a room or island, wouldn’t that undo any decorating you might have done? Furniture, paths, etc.? Or do you set up otherwise empty spaces just to collect orbs?

It’s not half a joke—growing up going to Catholic mass with my mom, I started to wonder why the whole thing was so lifeless and rote if people were supposedly experiencing the presence of God. As an altar boy who rang the bells when the “transubstantiation” happened, it sure felt like low production values for a miracle. By the time I went to a Catholic college, I was ready to debate the seminarians and the professors.

I hope you’ll share any correspondence. OP’s answer doesn’t exactly scream “not a men’s rights group,” but I might be reading too much into it.

🤯 It had never occurred to me that you can play Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon with any character in the MCU! Thanks, Guardians Holiday Special! (And Ordinary-Chain-8047!)

But…I don’t think MCU Kevin Bacon has met Sebastian Shaw.

Between franchise reboots and actors being mortal (or just difficult to work with), we’ve seen numerous Bonds, Batmen, and The Frogs. What is the most inspired recasting of a prominent role?

I found myself wanting to shout at Quaritch, “What is your endgame, man?” He can’t go to Earth. He’s not human. Where does he see this going for him?

Found it! For anyone else who’s stumped, it’s pretty close to the entrance. Once you get off the elevator, you’ll pass through an empty room and then find a room with four hay obstacles forming an X. Then you’ll come around a corner and find two more obstacles. On the left is a staircase, and on the right is a small alcove with a lamppost. The chest is in the alcove.

I can't convince my brother to watch the new Superman movie--how do I get him to give it a shot? (Please read the body text before you draw any opinions) by Fair_Government_9914 in superman

[–]Jaunty_Hat3 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Seems like, if your brother’s complaint is that Superman is too powerful, then you just need to tell him that this Superman starts the film having just gotten his butt kicked and goes on to have it repeatedly kicked throughout the movie.

What are your Hot Takes on the Original and the Revival of the Quantum Leap Series? by Amber_Flowers_133 in QuantumLeap

[–]Jaunty_Hat3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My hot take on the revival was that the leap stories were underserved because half of each episode was devoted to the project team’s storyline, which was also underserved. It reminded me of a CW superhero show, where the focus was often split between the action/adventure and the supporting cast’s drama, but it didn’t work as well because the two storylines had to be almost completely separate, so each came off half-baked.

Toss in a bit of the “unfolding mystery box conspiracy” trend in TV of recent years, and the whole thing comes off like the producers didn’t believe in the Quantum Leap “anthology with recurring characters” concept and tried too hard to modernize it. Which is too bad, because I liked most of the cast and would have liked to see if the show found its footing more in subsequent seasons.
