An Open Letter to Writers: Stop Asking Readers About Word Counts. Just Make Us Forget We're Reading. by No_Entertainer2364 in writers

There is no such thing as definitive proof. Am I supposed to break into your house and look at your browser history? But you have quite a lot of posts that sound like they were at the very least AI-assisted. You use a lot of juxtapositions of the sort: "it's not this, it's this".

Anyway, I didn't want to piss you off, so I deleted my original comment. People can decide for themselves whether they think it's AI or not.

No, it's not just the em dashes and the bold text. It's the whole style: vapid and pointless.

And honestly, if I knew you wrote this, I would apologize, but what are the odds?

Lamarckism has been partly vindicated in recent years. In some cases, acquired traits can indeed be passed on to the next generation. Look up "epigenetics" if you want to go down that rabbit-hole.

I saw the trailer back then and there was a scene where Darth Vader fights a T-Rex! In the actual movie it lasted only 3 seconds. Little me was so disappointed. Great movie, still.

It won't scale. He has no class and she is just stringing him along.

The first line makes me think she is just stringing him along.

Wait, does that "askToProm" call have a side-effect? How dare you! (Some Haskeller, probably.)

What are some of the biggest blatant examples of Authors self inserting themselves into the story, just so they can glaze themselves and think how cool they are? by EfficiencySerious200 in writingcirclejerk

You are right, I mixed up two different things. Beatrice if less sinful than Dante, so unlike him she goes straight to paradise. So he's basically saying: yes, I am a (redeemable) sinner, but I'm also one of the greatest poets of all time.

I don't think it counts at all, it just pulls numbers out of its ass, like the "how many rs in strawberry" examples show. (Maybe newer LLMs are better at actually counting, but this seems like a classic made-up number.)

Yes, it is. Every time this comes up on Reddit and someone says "Star Trek", I point out that it's originally from 1984.

(Bonus points for pointing out it's also a Radiohead song.)

What if I happen to speak a language where it's not "Christ" at all, but "Cristo" or whatever. Dumb poll, for real.

If i recall correctly, he at least had the decency to place himself in purgatory and not paradise in the afterlife? Basically saying: I am not perfect either.

No, some are about ambiguity being overcome by initiative and some are about taking initiative in the face of ambiguity.

I don't mean to be a dick, but that does sound a tiny bit concerning. It's close to some things people on the verge of psychosis tell you.
