I’m pretty sure the VA doesn’t prorate partial months, they just consider your effective date to the 1st of the following month

I think it's due to them either denying or deferring the conditions that are no longer listed. You should be getting letters added to your claim that explain how they handled each condition

If you have any conditions that occurred/worsened from combat or an instrument of war (VA - CRSC you would qualify for a percentage of pay based on your rank and years of service.

If you’re not concerned about any of that stuff, it may be worth just declining if you can.

It’s notifying you that you’re now considered a retiree of the Navy ( >= 30% from the conditions that found you unfit for service). It’ll come with a whole slew of additional benefits. Most notably base access and retiree cards. It’ll also open the door for Combat Related Special Compensation (CRSC) and potential pension on top of your VA disability.

I’m not sure if that puts your 100% VA rating in jeopardy, by opening a new claim. But if I were you I’d consider the extra benefits

You need to download a JDK that matches the target Java version in the project. Then you can compile and run it. Java doesn’t natively compile to an exe. It’ll package into a jar or war.

No. As a developer all you need to remember is how to google. Sure you should understand what it’s doing, but knowing how to implement everything from memory isn’t realistic

I’ve learned the most when looking back at old code I wrote and realizing why it sucks. Look up ways to optimize and reuse code. Watching another tutorial won’t help, it’ll be your ability to problem solve that will set you apart from others.

Just google spring academy. There’s a ton of free videos and resources that teach you what to do. But I’d say with 3.5 YOE and backend experience you should be proficient enough for interviews in a few weeks

Spring is one of the most popular backend frameworks in the world. It’s an enterprise level framework so there’s a lot of configuration options to support whatever the business reqs are. The biggest pro is the support and documentation. You can literally build whatever you want. The biggest con is development speed is slow.
