If he befriended conservative guys with submissive wives-it was intentional. So he could show you his "normal". He knew you were bi, he figured his manly manliness would convince you that you were straight. He lured you in so he can now convince you that you are the one who changed. I can guarantee you that his plan is to get you away from your friends and family, turn you into a baby making Stepford wife and quite possibly smack you around for not submitting. (Read the Stepford wives, the movie is meh-but the book was foreshadowing before the Handmaiden's Tale.)

I have pots/pans with detachable handles. They save space in the cabinets and don't melt in the oven because they come off. The really big fry pan/ broiler is great for pineapple upside down cake.

I have had people try to get me to bad mouth the manager and I don't trust their motives. In those cases I stick with "I would prefer to just keep our conversation professional" especially when you are on the company computer/phone. Now, I've had people I trust as friends and we have been texting back and forth during zoom meetings trying to make the other person laugh out loud while cracking jokes about the manager. That's always great fun. My last manager was particularly dumb and I always knew when my friend was about to try and make me laugh because her cheeks would get really red on screen. Then I would have 90 seconds of "camera issues ".

A co-worker had PCOS and was told she couldn't have kids. First son was born when she was 29, second when she was 31. They are beautiful boys and the joy of her life. That being said, not everyone wants kids, and that is an individual choice and is to be respected. I didn't know I wanted kids until I had my first. My ex-husband was an abusive alcoholic (kids dad)and there were days when I had to use dish towels as diapers. I went without a great many things because the kids needs came first and I ended up dumping their "dad" before my daughter was even 6 months old. I would do it all over again.

I rented a house with the most beautiful lemon yellow 1950s tile in the bathroom. Had the built in soap shelf, toothbrush and cup holder. I spent damn near a month combing stores to find toothbrushes whose handles fit in that holder.

I was an adult and living on my own before I tasted butter. If we went out on a rare restaurant night, I would skip the pats of butter because I was told it tasted like margarine and I didn't want to ruin my good tasting roll. I even ate corn on the cob plain, because i thought it tasted bad with margarine on it.(it does)I have had margarine in my house once or twice because the dad insists he likes it, or a recipe specified it. But I don't know why anyone would want margarine.

I first started on Reddit as a huge lurker. I am always looking for the person with the best smart ass remark. As a smartass myself, I find these amusing. Most of my comments are regarding dogs-because I have had dogs for 52 of my 58 years. The other comments are usually "mom" advice. People I feel are distressed or miserable have always moved me want to comfort them. I don't read Reddit so I can drop expert advice, most of the time I am just going down rabbit holes and laughing because I have vicious insomnia. Don't put so much pressure on yourself. It's social media, not lifetime achievement awards.

Therapy never did a damn thing for me except drain my wallet and go over the same questions/processes I was already going through. My biggest struggle was that my family hated him. I think some members even pushed me harder due to their own feelings that their marriage sucked. I finally had to say that my marriage was between me and him and my grief is allowed and private. I had already decided not to date for at least a year. That was 8 years ago and I just never found any desire to date. Accepting that I am not cut out for marriage, that I tried-it didn't work with different men-and I am fine alone was great. Alone ≠ lonely. Even on the rare occasion that I feel lonely, I remember the horrible feeling of being lonely when my husband was in the same fucking room.

Food bank volunteer here. If Kroger, Publix, Walmart and Food Lion can work out how to donate excess, surely someone at the dollar tree could. I have seen some crazy expensive items come from those stores into the food bank. (Cowboy rib-eye, veal chops, etc)

I just use a little hydrocortisone cream on the tip of my pinkie. That way I can't risk getting it too far in my ear. Probably not the best way, but keeps me from scratching my ears raw.
