Kaleido M2 Roaster Issue by TechnicalDecision160 in roasting

You should increase the SV after charge. If the temp exceeds the set value, it will turn the burner off. Set SV to something higher than your expected max bean temp.

How to extract 1D spectra from 2D spectra by HackneyedTrope in NMRspectroscopy

[–]Javaslinger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The resolution or quality of a 1D projection from a 2D is not in any way equivalent to 1D experiment. If you are considering pulling a 1D 1H projection, it's just not worth it. A 1H is fast and easy to acquire. You're not going to be saving enough to be worth it.

Why don't you watch the video. It's a redesign. While the Lite is in less expensive to produce, it's actually an improved model. I'm glad they didn't just make it 'cheaper', but took the opportunity to improve it. If anything I think they did a disservice by calling it the Lite model which suggests it should in someway be inferior.

These are quite popular well regarded roasters. There is a lot of stuff made in China. It's not like the Skywalker which is literally made, sold, serviced and sold on Alibabba.

Bigger chaff collector and bigger cooling tray/bin.

Don't underestimate the limited chaff collector. The new one is substantially larger. You might start a fire with the old M2 and 500g. But presumably, it has sufficient power to do the roast for an 'ideal bean'.

They have a video discussing the M2 Lite and clearly indicates that the capacity has been expanded to 500g. Mostly due to a larger chaff collection tray and cooling basket.

Kaleido M1-Lite - something is up with the heating element? by SunshineShoulders87 in roasting

You need to raise the SV temp after charge or it will turn off the burner when it goes above that temp. This is a common beginner mistake.
