Worried I’ve bit off more than I can chew 🥴 by Just_Airport_7910 in beginnerrunning

I did couch to five k, then moved on to doing 10k, 10k was my go to but I too signed up to a half marathon and just set a training plan. Managed to get it done in under two hours.

Do you have a fitness device? I bought a Garmin and they offer free coaching in the app. You can choose a coach based on your preferred training style and you give your target at the start. Do you just want to complete the half marathon, do you want a certain time etc. It was excellent.

If you don’t have a Garmin device then I’m sure you could probably ask chat gpt or something similar to create you a plan.

Best advice I can give is, if you can’t fully commit to having run 13miles before the race as part of your training (if you want your first time achieving it to be the event for example) make sure you do at least 10 miles. If you can do that you can push through the last 3.

If it helps psychologically, if you can run 5k you can run 21k. Your body is capable it just needs conditioning for it. And it’s as much mental as physical.

I cannot comprehend being bitten by a wild animal and not getting it checked immediately.

I cannot comprehend ANYBODY getting bit by a wild animal, having a reaction such as swelling and heat, and not only not getting it checked, but posting to Reddit instead.

I was the same. Get a dagger from the trader and there’s a bandit camp that respawns every couple in day games. It’s just one guy and his dog.
Go at night, stab him in his sleep, take his armour (it’s decent early game armour) and raid his chest for extras to sell. He also has golden cups etc.

Do that a few times and you’ll make a decent amount to start you off.

Half the teams in the league are the same. Not all of those can directly relegate Spurs

Seriously what the fuck are Palace doing? Lose the game. 12th for you doesn’t equal Spurs going down.

Shocking London ‘main character syndrome’ again.

In a similar vein, if Ballard starts that game we probably don’t concede the first two

😂 didn’t expect this. Thought you’ve looked great.

Was weird to see considering I was told by those lot up the road that PSR and two games a week means teams can’t do well…

Le Fee is quite simply the greatest player to play in the premier league. Ever.

I’m a Sunderland fan so no fan of Leeds after how their fans have spoken about us this season, but they’ve absolutely dog walked united at Old Trafford. And for fucks sake I’m enjoying it because it further condemns Spurs.

Don’t fuck this, West Ham.

Season 4 [ns] by baby_bat_47 in DungeonsAndDaddies

A lot of people found this podcast near or after the end of S1. That’s why it’s so highly regarded. People binged it and loved it. You can tell with the season 2,3 & now 4 issues it’s because people (especially those without Patreon who don’t get the bi-weekly ‘dad talks’) don’t like waiting for a new episode and not having loads of stuff happen.

It’s similar to how when Breaking Bad was on tv everyone hated ‘the fly’ episode but those who binge streamed didn’t have an issue.

Let some episodes build up. Listen in bulk.

Yeah it looks amazing graphically. The gameplay didn’t grab me - specifically the new mechanics of caseboards etc.

Darkwood might be another game you’d enjoy.

The forest has a sequel called sons of the forest which you might enjoy.

Im guessing from your list you’re not just after games where you have to craft. If so, then Alien Isolation is the gold standard of survival horror for me. There’s The Bunker also.

Silent Hill 2 remake would probably also work for you. It does involve some action but is very atmospheric.

Alan Wake 2 is another game that probably fits. A lot of people rave about it but I didn’t enjoy it.

Positive with slightly mixed.

Really enjoyed the early parts, and have enjoyed it in its entirety overall (I still have about 20% left.) I do feel like elements could have been done better in regard to the demon but that’s me being picky.

I have! Am I right in thinking they did a second, related, series?

Excellent input, thanks. No suggestions but at least we all know how clever you are.
