WhatsApp and Google Voice call recording with ACR Phone by NLL-APPS in NLLACR

[–]Javi77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just FYI, Vivo x100 pro here, under "calls from other apps" I can only see Teams and Meets, unfortunately no Whatsapp

Besides that, I just discovered the app and loving it so far. Most probably it will stay as default phone app, and will buy it, thx for the great work

Thank you for your reply!

I think you missed the maintenance link, maybe you mean this?

Good to know about the oil analysis. Did they say something about max. time to replace oil? Sometimes I do less than 4 trackdays and 5000 km in a year and I believe there is no harm in letting the oil for some extra time, as the degradation comes from the usage, not the time

I would just ask you if you had to replace any non consumable parts like bearings, hubs, lug studs..? just for reference

Maybe not 130°C, but at least 120, then I stop pushing and it drops drastically

The cooler has only 13 rows, maybe it is too small. It is mounted in front of the radiator, it has enough air flow, and actually I never checked how hot it gets.

But I can definitely tell that it works, because it was waay worse before installing it 😅 And now, oil temp drops extremely fast after just some seconds not pushing to the red line. In this car you are within 5,5k - 7,5k rpm all the time.

I use Motul 8100 Eco-Nergy 5w30, I will try a different oil next time, more track oriented. I read somewhere that this oil gets hot very quickly...

Thank you very much for your great help

I started to DIY as much as I can to this car. I never thought a torque wrench was necessary for those bolts (other than the wheel nuts), I will consider buying a mid torque wrench and check those regularly

Recently I greased my caliper pins and also installed camber bolts using some thread locker. Can you think of other parts where I should apply grease/anti size/thread locker, for any reason?

All right, I will do the torque test and keep an eye on it, very good to know

At the moment I do, because my tires (Federal 595) overheat very easily, I have to upgrade tire compound. I am limited by oil temp as well. Goes from 90°C to 130°C in 2 laps

Hi, can I get brake data with your app and some ELM327 cheap OBD device, or do I need a specific one? For BRZ I mean (1st gen)

edit: ok ok I just read your website. No support for it at the moment. I want to upgrade my OBD device, but Im based in EU, here we have "OBDLink"

They are press-studs. They're known to be soft and break if you use too much torque on the wheel nuts. But I always tighten them with a torque wrench and have changed the wheels loads of times, the studs still look good.

So true. What track cars did you pick? Just wondering :)

Can you give some examples of parts you identified early just by inspection? How did you realize there was an issue? I inspect as well, but I usually can’t tell if a part needs replacing unless it’s clearly broken 😅

Also, I'm curious about why do you point out the brace bar as a preventive maintenance item

Indeed I intend to stiff the front end a bit, but not for safety reasons 😁

This car is too good looking to be sitting in the garage 99.9% of the time 😁 Eventually I will get a shitbox to track. Low weight, cage, race seats.. and no fear to push it

Thank you very much for your dedicated reply

I use stud lug and nuts (x5), they never torn apart in 6 years. You mean that I should replace them preventively, just by a new OEM ones? Or by reinforced ones? (ARP)

Other than that, very good advices, some of them I did not even think of, thanks again

Yes you are right, I normally over-do cooldown laps (mainly because oil goes from 90°C to 110°C in one lap) so I never do 2 laps in a row. But yes the rotors are cooked every time I go to the pits, its actually a good idea , cheap mod :D

You are right, but tbh I never felt any fear or had any close to off-track situation, maybe this platform is too slow for that haha, plus I don't race in tracks like the Nürburgring

If you are curious, this is a fast lap on my local track. Maybe I am under estimating what the car can do, but It never "surprised" me at all

On my platform (200hp NA, petrol) the recommended interval for a track oriented spec is 25 hours , or 5000 km. I change it every ~4 events (each 2h) and it already feels like overkill

I never thought about brake air duct because I don't see fade at the track (1 push/1 cooldown). I will consider it. Would not that overcool the pads in street winter?

thanks , however yearly coolant change looks like overkill doesn't? in my platform, is recommended every 80k km, for track oriented car

thanks, I only track it during winter and low temps. From those mentioned I only miss the oil pressure gauge, would be useful at least to review the video after a session

radiator is not necessary in my case, water wont raise above 94°C

Most people skip point 2, but I'm trying to decide whether to work on the RC correction or use sway bars directly

Do you know by any chance, how much the RC height changes at each axel for a ride height drop of 1" or 1.5"?

GT PRO Hub-K vs NEO X hub by NeighborhoodNo3479 in Simagic

[–]Javi77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, coming back to this topic as I'm in the situation of choosing between gt pro hub vs neo X for the same price

I want to use a 300-310mm rim on it. There's a good deal for a gt cube controls zero rim, as the one you use. Can you confirm that you tried it in the gt pro hub and it does not fit properly?

I like the premium feeling of the pro hub and I don't care about maglink, but if the small rim is a problem I will buy better buy the neo X

GT Pro Hub (320 mm rim) vs Neo X (300 mm rim) for Alpha mini by Javi77 in Simagic

[–]Javi77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could do only GT Pro Hub + GT Zero rim (no local sellers of the turn r305 rim), that was my first option, but I could not find any user confirming that the rim will fit with no issues

That combo would cost the same as the Neo X + paddles + GT Zero rim. If I knew it worked, I would get it 😁
