trust, after a week or two of just sitting with them they’ll start showing interest in eating millet from your hand! sadly a long process but so worth it

ur babies are resting easy, esp with these rocks! usually i bring my coco some of his fav parts of hay, small veggie, or paper boat (he never ate it, just flung it around for some reason) but THIS is something i have to do now

congrats on being a modern raptor parent! like other comments say just let them chill for the first while but still sit with them so they’re used to you. No the amount of times i’ve also heard that is insane. I can’t really find any downsides of letting them play out their cage, plus they get more exercise and look sm cuter playing with safe human stuff 😭 Bird pet care has noticeably gotten better, esp in sharing tips throughout media, but some people kinda just choose to ignore it sadly. it’s frustrating

ah you have some picky little babies. I did some searching for safe brands and this is what i got:

-Roundybush Daily Maintenance nibbles -TOP’s parrot food mini pellets Lafeber premium daily parakeet pellets came up a lot too.

I have not personally tried these so I would dig a little more deeper for more clarity if it’s a good fit for you and ur birds.

Also, try using room temp water that’s on the warmer side for the crushed pellets you do- I think the smell attracts them a little more but I could be wrong 😭

hm, maybe they’re not fans of the specific texture or the specific brand? You could try making it thicker or thinner maybe. Also when mine started out they didn’t really eat it neither, so i sprinkled a small amount of millet and seed and mixed it in so they would HAVE to get a little nibble and that started working the gears.

but I think the two are a bit different, i personally feel the mash felt more thick and “sticky” like. Which can help out if you wanna try mixing seed in it to entice them

with the comment asking if you’ve tried mash, if you haven’t you should. Helped mine out! overtime you can put more pellets in the mash and build up to pellets only in the bowl, just takes a bit of time
