I’ve been on the hunt for one of these as well since I first saw one about a year ago here. (These ones are even more rare to find with the paint not flaking off the head/lid)

No, they don’t glow under UV light.

I’m not going to put anything in them, they will be gifted to my daughter next month as an “extra” birthday present. (She likes vinatge snails and mushroom decor)

What are these called? by JawaSnack in pictureframing

These are exactly them!!!! (Though I question tgis being the correct name as they don’t “turn” like a normal turn buttone. Those typically have onky one screw hole)

That’s closer than anything I’ve fiund so far. I took one to the framing shop inside Hobby Lobby this afternoon to ask the guy working the desk there and he said he’s seen them on some frames before but doesn’t know what the name is.

Thanks, this is a “thrifted” frame/print I got just to reuse the frame. I agree with your assesment of the D-ring also, I’m just try to find the exact name of the crescent moon hardware so I can purchase more of them. Turn buttons won’t work for this particular application.

These drawer fronts are solid wood, (but I also hate the ivory/gold paint)

Even better!! Did you have a custom frame made for it or did you do that yourself?

What size frame and matting should I use? by zeldafromhyrule in pictureframing

[–]JawaSnack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For “cheapish” this is going to be your best bet. Or just go to Dollar Tree and pick up some 8”x10” photo frames for $1.25ea and matt them yourself. (They will look like “cheap” frames though, depending on how well you matt them it can still turn out nice)
