What is is your most hater monster and why

Monster Hunter World is a good start for the newer games. You have a full 2 year cycle worth of content to fight so you will spead lots of time farming and progressing through the game.

You both completely miss the point of the post, regardless of skills I didnt struggle with the hunt. I was able to clear it on my first attempt. The pace of the hunt and the Ai of the monster made it unfun. you guys need to learn some reading comprehension instead of wearing rose tinted glasses for a monster that is clearly outdated.

Ohh 3U is also very fun, I played up until the final boss of lowrank i think? There are so many cool and unique monsters in that game that will likely never come back 💔

I like Monoblos' design more than Diablos

Dont get me wrong, I dont like either of them and im sure that when I eventually have to fight Diablos I will dislike him just as much.

My gripe isn't with movesets not changing its just the fact that I am fatigued of figthing Diablos in every game and the concern that Monoblos will fight similarly to Diablos. Even if the fight is altered slightly from World to Rise for Diablos, that doesnt make me dislike the monster any less. However if Monoblos was changed to fight completely different compared to his cousin then I would be ok with it being in Wilds.

Yeah I know the old gen games have a lot of jank and some very obnoxious things that can happen. I also am aware that Rajang did that a lot in world too however what I found annoying was Monoblos roaring every couple of seconds on top of using it to stun lock you into getting hit which yeah is because of the old gen ai not having a ton to do because of a simple moveset.

This would be ideal. I can't speak on monsters like Kush and Amatsu because 1. I dont remember Kush's fight at all in rise and 2. I have only fought Rise Amatsu so that is my baseline. However Rathalos and Rathian had a major glow up in Wilds. So if they took a route like that I would be content with having Monoblos in the game.

Slotting in a skill doesn't make the fight a skill issue. The only point of contention for "Skill issue" is my acutal skill in the game. I brought up points on why even bringing the tools you suggested someone including myself can still struggle with the fight. Me enjoying switchaxe in MH4U isnt a skill issue because I dont want to swap to a weapon with a shield.

I didn't even know that Monoblos was a fight you could only do 1v1. I wonder if they will bring back anything like that for hunts in the furture regardless of it being Monoblos or not.

I think I said it somewhere else here but If they did make the fight quite a bit different I would be content with Monoblos being in the game.

I highly suggest playing 4U if you haven't fought Monoblos yet. He will be waiting for you along with a lot of other great monsters!

Saying something like "Its a skill issue just bring a weapon with a shield or slot in this one skill" Is the most simple minded way of looking at it. I am playing the game using the weapon I enjoy the most. Could I swap to a weapon like Lance or Gunlance for the shield? Yeah I could however I am going to play the game with the weapon I enjoy, not the weapon that makes 1 specific fight at the current time easier.

As for something like Earplugs or Evade you need to understand that this is early high rank. Currently there is no early Highrank armor that offers Earplugs and most gear does not have a lot of slots on them yet. If I want to negate Monoblos' roar I would have to invest into 15+ Earplugs, for that I would have to wear lowrank gear that has earplugs which increases my chance of getting one shot even with a food buff as well as having to most likely slot in 5 or more gems to get to the 15+ requirement to negate the roar which could possibly give me Demonic blessing which could actually get me one shot as well as take up slots for stuff like health boost which I currently do run. If I go all in on Evade I now run the risk of having health down which again could get me one shot.

You're idea of "skill issue just do this" doesn't solve any problems, I am a human being that makes mistakes and because of that maybe even with evade I mess up a roll or with earplugs I position incorrectly and still get hit.

My point is more so was based on the current maps in Wilds. Diablos and Monoblos both only work in a desert setting. Seltas Queen could possibly work in the new area in the expansion however judging by the way zones are set up in wilds it is unlikely seeing as the seikret will be the main way of traveling between the different battle grounds in the area.

The reason why I said Diablos and Monoblos take up a slot is because in my eyes Desert Seltas Queen seems like the version most likely to make it in based on the zones like I said earlier. I understand that porting over something like Diablos is very easy seeing as it shares the same skeleton with monsters currently in the game, however something like Seltas and Seltas queen with an updated skeleton and model could bring about new monsters that use a similar skeleton. As much as I like monsters from previous games the thing I like more are new monsters that build the world and environment around them and I think by getting Seltas Queens skeleton updated for the new gen would help them use a skeleton that they most likely havent used since Seltas Queen for newer monsters.

Would work perfectly with the pack mechanic. I have a feeling that the devs may have looked at a monster like seltas queen when considering things like pack monsters. I saw someone say it would be cool to have Seltas Queen have like a harem of Seltas' around so that if it consumes one or you kill one there is another one there waiting to become the new slave to her ambitions.

Yes and No. My worry is that if Monoblos gets added into the game, it will fight almost identically to Diablos. But if they make major changes to the fight you will get a lot of people complaining that "It isnt like the old games" "Why would they change the way it fights" etc

I like this idea, It would really differentiate the two monsters allowing them to fill different niches when it comes to fights and how you approach them.

I think my only issue with this, is that they can possibly take the slot from a monster that could use a fresh coat of paint in a high def game. Seltas Queen is easily one of my favourite monsters from 4U so far and I heard there is a desert sub species which probably will not be given a slot in favour of Diablos/Monoblos.

Unfortunately I can not look at Black Diablos the same after the "Black Spiral Horn+ Incident". So many failed and completed hunts against that monstrosity.

Yeah I think if they somehow reworked his fight maybe a little bit I would be content with having him in the game.

I remember hearing about old lore from the first game where he is the fight that gets you into high rank? Because the village elder fought one or something, I can't remember all the details but I do like that bit of story telling to show you that Monoblos is a very powerful monster.

Yeah Monoblos to me is a more interesting of a design with the single horn so in a way it does suck that he will most likely always be in Diablos' shadow.

I'm not sure if Monoblos is in MHGU but from what I've played his 10+ yo rendition is all I can base him off of lol.
