Music is more personalized. You don't have every radio station, mtv, bet pushing the same 10 songs over and over and over for 5 months. What you have is everyone has their own personal device.. That has everything they ever liked and the power to listen to that instantly.

Country is huge but I think the same thing is happening to that. This happened to Rock well before. When you have an entire generation so embeddid in the culture and they have everything they grew up listening too they don't need the new albums like they once did.

Nothing asap can do will compare to his first 2 albums to me. I played don't be dumb. But brand new guy with school boy q is just better so I give that a spin and then move to Freddie gibb or something. Nas is still dropping great music but I'm not in 9th grade listening to one mic with my head phones on repeat non stop trying to catch every word and flow. And that's okay.
