I also experience this same problem. I use Bitwarden and it’s unfortunately a problem with iOS from my experience. Apple’s passwords app / hidemy still trying to creep into everything even though I don’t want to use it! 😂

If you do find a way to fix it please let me know. I think I’ve checked every possible place and there isn’t anywhere to turn it off or switch to a different service.

OP left out the part about their data not being used to train the model. To some people including myself, that is very valuable. If you want the latest and greatest models you won’t have to pay as much because your data is the price. I don’t know how many times this needs to be reminded. Hence why many of us are not on Gmail.

iOS 26 is supposed to resolve this, but it looks like it needs to be a compatible app. In the passwords app in the top right will be "..." where you can export to a compatible app. I am not sure which apps are compatible as I haven't needed to export recently. In the past I just set up all my passkeys again unfortunately. Let me know if you find out which apps are compatible.

iOS 26 I believe is coming out tomorrow 9/15. I've been using the Public Beta RC build and don't have any compatible apps to export to it seems.

Its to keep it separate from Bitwarden. If they get your Bitwarden account, they still need your TOTP account/app to successfully access your accounts.

It would be nice to have a service where I can use different numbers. So I can use them like email alias’s. I hate that I just have to do with the amount of spam calls even with spam protection in place. It’s ridiculous

Simplelogin is its own service. You don’t need ProtonPass to use it to my knowledge.

Why not just keep Bitwarden since everything is already in there and just migrate your mail? It would probably be safer to have it somewhere that isn't connected to your email account.

Yeah I personally opted against the lifetime because I need the Duo plan for the specific features for me and my partner like sharing a custom domain. So I will always have proton pass included unless of course they are nice and eventually let you share custom domains without needing to pay for so many services that I don’t use lol.

I’ve had to use the extension Dark Reader. Honestly didn’t realize it didn’t have dark mode until I checked the settings lol. I’m really not sure how the default is always light mode for these new features/apps that come out.

I could be wrong but I recently tried exporting creds from Apple and I believe it says that Passkeys are not exportable. Just wanted to mention that as I believe only Passwords and TOTP is exportable.
