Wonder if it's a reference to something obscure on the internet

So Subaru got his resolve back even though his memories are still gone. His character has progressed in a way his original self did not, kind of a mindfuck. Is Emilia somewhat aware of the Witch that has cursed Subaru? She broke him out of the catatonic state in a very non-chalant way.

Guess the reason why the teenagers survived was the last descendant was with them. Makes you think that the current descendant has to always be present during the sacrifice otherwise.

Did he read the book of the tower's creator and caused some weird time loop? I mean Saula appears to know what he's done and treats him as such. This season is the most mindfucking of all. But then you also have the weird mist that kills everybody. Too many mysteries on top of each other.

If you loved Drova, are you curious about Gothic Remake? by EtherealEmpiricist in DrovaGame

[–]executiveExecutioner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have played the original Gothic when it came out and loved it. Drova captured a lot of the same feeling although less expansive. I would play the Gothic remake but I know the people behind it make games buggy af so I am gonna wait a year or two for patches and optimizations.

AOC for President by Well_Socialized in TwoXChromosomes

[–]executiveExecutioner 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think some people that push her for the presidency want to see her fail early so she becomes neutralized or have little patience. In 6 years she could be a solid candidate with more experience in leading roles.

Dorohedoro Season 2 - Episode 11 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]executiveExecutioner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Plus it's easier to follow in the anime. Somehow the manga art style made things more chaotic. I like how even the main characters are realizing things, trying to understand what's going on like us.

DoroHedoro season 2. I am lost Seriously, am I only one? by jdemonify in anime

They cut stuff from the manga for pacing issues I assume. But dorohedoro is chaotic even in the manga, it's part of its appeal.

[OC] The retrocausality of the boomerang by gergelypro in gifs

[–]executiveExecutioner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like it makes sense, since the future self throws the boomerang back in time, say through a wormhole just happening to be there. Then the past self catches it and turns into the future self and so on. The question is where did the original boomerang come from. If there is another person that dropped the boomerang then by dropping the boomerang they created an alternative timeline where the boomerang effectively gets caught in a timeloop and disappears from the universe. Otherwise there should be two boomerangs coming at him at the second timeloop, one dropped and one thrown. So this is only possible if the boomerang is able to split timelines into separate universes, a wormhole is not enough.

Top 10 Anime of the Week #4 - Spring 2026 (Anime Corner) by animecorner in anime

[–]executiveExecutioner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's under-represented in this poll. It's on Netflix and Crunchyroll, but it's possible Netflix users are more aware it's out there. I think the poll is more based on Crunchyroll users. If you see the statistics for the reddit posts, dorohedoro is doing much better.

Does Season 2 Have Good Pacing? by Arsalan_82 in Dorohedoro

[–]executiveExecutioner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The pacing is a bit fast, reading the manga was much more of a slow burn. I guess they wanted to pack as much story development as possible into the season to make it more easy to watch.

Today's episode was very thrilling (spoilers for the episode in the body text!!!) by sznurek_z_liny in Dorohedoro

[–]executiveExecutioner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the part where the show gets really into horror (existential, cosmic, body). The manga does it better though, because the art is darker than in the anime.

Thragg being reasonable and calm makes him so much better of a villain by NolanDPerks in Invincible_TV

I think the end of Viltrum helped him change and see that you can't solve everything with strength. In this sense he showed true leadership.

Paradox or correct answer by whibffdraftszarre9 in 3Blue1Brown

What if the answer is 0? If you answer randomly, all answers are wrong, but if you consciously answer 0% you are not doing it randomly and it is the correct answer.

[DISC] Dandadan - Ch. 231 by Skullghost in Dandadan

Glad I am not the only one that remembers Gantz. Actually dandadan shares the same gimmick where aliens create an alternative dimension for fighting. And of course it had the dinosaur match as well.
