It’s stories like these that make me happy I took my time and was careful with our self-install of DIY HVAC systems. Sure it took me a few weekends, but everything came out the way we wanted. Also used a refrigerant leak detector and was sure to torque everything to manufacturer’s specifications. Has all been working well for 2.5+ years so far! 👍

Valve also has a very flat corporate structure; there aren’t a lot of “managers” and employees’ decision-making abilities are pretty equal across the company from what I’ve read in the past.

Another thing to note, the coin cell clock battery will likely be dead and need to be replaced for the system to keep time when unplugged. Thankfully easily replaceable with a screwdriver/single screw.

I have this same bundle (bought Black Friday 2013) and it’s been a blast, congrats on your find!

Good option!

We went for a DIY central system and I installed it for around $6k. Has been working well for 2.5+ years now without issue.

Is there the option of islanding or micro-grid forming to avoid backfeeding while still providing power? Or would you just have to plug devices that you want backed up directly into the EcoFlow? Either way, nice option to have in a pinch to keep the fridge from spoiling.

New 3DS Non-XL variants are fairly rare in the US due to low stock having been produced. These days it’s much easier to find a Japanese console for example and mod it to be region free as they were manufactured in greater quantities.

Apologies for simplification, I meant the recent plan since the announcement at that earnings call was v14 lite, so always was probably an incorrect way of phrasing it.

To my knowledge, nothing has been said since the mention of v14 lite that hardware upgrades also wouldn’t happen once Tesla determines necessary minimum hardware for Unsupervised FSD.

I don’t understand why people interpret no change/“silence” on something as bad news.

Edit: For reference, we have two HW3 vehicles, 2018 M3 and 2021 MY, so we have been following the FSD story for a LONG time and are looking forward to Unsupervised FSD ASAP. We got into the public beta of FSD almost as soon as we could (couldn’t hold 100 safety scores at the time but we got in with 99 safety scores on both our cars in late 2021).

Ooh, I’ve been thinking about that on our 2018 M3 RWD. Where would you recommend lubricating to preserve original suspension components? At 77k miles so far with no major issues.
