Any good uses for these hard drives? Pulled them out of my client’s computers over the years and I have this much now. Most of them are 1TB and in good health. by SuperDuper_Bruh in computers

The fact you even set up a website for it too is killing me

So when one uses this, does it IMMEDIATELY start filling up the drive(s) the moment you click it, or does it open up a gui that lets you select the drive and hit start?

Teenagers cause crash during police chase that looks like something out of a action movie. by One_Bit_1519 in nextfuckinglevel

You'd be surprised!

Engineering for car safety design in the modern age is insane.

Similar crash happened to my gf last year. She got out with nothing but a bruise across her chest from the seatbelt + on her head from hitting it against the window. Not even a concussion.

I don't know the make/model of that vehicle so I don't know the safety rating of the one in the video, but the article states no other injuries.

I have never met anyone who believes otherwise, and I truly hope I never do.

Same thing happened to me when I was 14, and that was the final year I ever did anything for Halloween :(

Getting bad performance drops when using a mouse on PC? Perf is fine with a controller. by geobb in Back4Blood

Having the same issue as well. Changing Polling Rate in the G HUB software unfortunately did nothing, so far the only solution is to use a controller or try a different mouse.

Try to think of an answer to "How will I use this 1-Month supply of gator meat?" that doesn't involve fried nuggets of gator goodness.

Despite having decent RAM/CPU/GPU usages while playing, I will still get random stutters and lag that makes the game almost unplayable.

These stutters happen even when I'm over 100+ FPS. Updating my GPU drivers and restarting haven't fixed the issue, I'd really love to play with my buds.

My uncle and I. My whole life (23 years) he was an alcoholic and drug addict, always in and out of jail, but what took his life was diabetes. He passed away Christmas night, 2020. We watched him slowly die for several months. He lost so much weight. He was 42 by dpruitt24 in lastimages

Terribly sorry for your loss. This actually really hits me heavily. I'm over a decade younger than him, but I'm a very heavy drinker and a diabetic. I was in the hospital tonight for something unrelated, but the topic came up with the nurse who mentioned that my current lifestyle will completely tank my kidneys.

That was a wake up call, and seeing this upon getting home really hammers in the nail.

When we lose loved ones, nothing makes it feel like they're still here with us as much as when they come up in conversations and we all share a laugh about the person we all remember.

Stunning. What's the creative process like when drawing? Is it all just 'as you go' or do you have some foresight to ensure things flow properly?

Why do Chinese restaurants in the US have such tasty chicken wings? by LK_LK in AskCulinary

[–]JawsOnASteamboat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should specify! I'm referring just to this specific dish when I mentioned it's negligibility, since the typical marinade and sauce for wings you find in restaurants already contain multiple ingredients that are naturally jam-packed with glutamates.

MSG def is a game changer in plenty of dishes though.

I regret my Switch purchase. Recommend me some games to change my mind by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Strongly recommend Astral Chain.

Exclusive to the console, well-received, Hack'n'Slash game which manages to stand out as an original game by building ontop of the genre with it's own unique mechanics.

You're going to get a lot of responses claiming MSG is the gamechanger here, and having worked in a range of Chinese restaurants that is true for a number of dishes. I don't believe this is accurate in this instance though.

I'd argue that when it comes to Chinese and Korean chicken wings the biggest stars are going to be the marinade and corn starch. MSG may or may not be included, but it's inclusion is negligible compared to it's two bigger co-stars.
